lol that’s an incredible stat line.

worlds longest case of the flu? Does he just suck? So glad we drafted Kon over this dude.

I mean are we going to ignore Kon just played 27 mins and scored 8 pts while turning it over 5 times.
You could argue that was a worse game tbh.

No need to ignore it. You'd let us know if Kon forgot to indicate when turning left.

Meanwhile 6 fouls in 10 minutes, Ace showing all the basketball smarts we knew he had in the predraft debates.

I mean, nah not really. I am not in the Kon thread talking about his bad game am I? Also, nobody else was. So it is funny we are bashing Ace for a bad game right after mostly crickets about Kon's equally bad game.

Especially after Ace had two good game's a row- seems kind of cherry picking results to me, but everyone can do what they want.

The difference is Kon's bad games are the exception rather than rule.

I wasn't a huge Kon guy either. I was mad we drafted him at 4, but moreso because I thought we probably could have still got him at 7 or 8 with a trade down for additional assets. VJ was my guy, i was lower on Ace and Tre.

It's funny the people saying be patient when Ace was cooking in the preseason are the same people saying Kon is now the better player because of a 10 game sample.

What happened to being patient?

This is the same old boring dumb ****

People get wedded to their take and can't help themselves when their guy looks good. They disappear when he doesn't.

Nothing in preseason means anything at all. Nothing in the first ten games proves anything definitively, except MAYBE to disprove narratives about prospects not being able to contribute at all. Draft picks aren't judged in 10 game increments, no one knows how this class will shake out.

I don't think the number of games is a good example there. Most of those guys have been chronically injured most of their careers, or are old, or have random fluke injuries. None of those are game number related.

Good for Atlanta.
They took a chance in Dejounte Trade. It failed, but they didn't give up.
They traded him away for Dyson and picks.
Then they took another chance trading Porzingis.
Took another chance signing NAW to a bigger deal in FA.
Traded back in the draft instead of getting married to "their guy"

Hornets would be too patient to try any of this.

Trade in for Kai Jones, trade out of Jalen Duren.

"Too many rookies"

That bum Kupcake really made a career out of getting the Lakers bounce as a GM.

I was also screaming for us to take Jalen Johnson over Kai when we were on the clock at pick 19.

Not sure if serious. Half those moves were made by a GM that subsequently got fired, and one of them involved trading for an oft injured player who then got injured. That leaves signing NAW to basically the MLE (not exactly a crazy risk or an aggressive move) and then being willing to take an unrestricted 1st from a rudderless franchise to move 10 spots from their late lotto position.

And as you're aware, ATL was in a completely different position as a franchise than we were when our new group stepped in, so it's not exactly an apples to apples comparison.

Feels like a disingenuous argument just to take a shot rather than a nuanced and thoughtful consideration of the circumstances.
