Because Barnes was guarding Melo instead of IQ doing it and he was able to get to those rebounds Barnes often gets.

But regardless, since to see.

insane to see the 6"8" PF having to guard the others teams PG because no one else on the team can do it

They doubled us in free throws, refs made sure we didn't cover otherwise this would have been a comfortable win even with lackluster performance from anyone not named BI

Poeltl deserves some love. He must have stripped the ball out of their hands a half dozen times, including the timely one after Ingram's block.

I like.BI's game.better........and he isn't even hitting his 3's yet. When he does, watch out.

BI simply has more.tools.because.of his length. Better rebounder & better shot blocker. He may not be the greatest on ball.defender, but he is a much more effective help.defender than DD.was.

Physical ability is a big difference maker in the NBA. Take two guys with the same skills, the bigger one is always better when he needs to be. DD was always hampered by his relatively average height and size by NBA standards so he had to work overly hard for every bucket. BI has some DD-like skills too but at the end of the day it's just easier for him to shoot over guys simple because he's taller and longer.

30 FTs for Charlotte, 16 for Raps. Barnes and RJ kept driving to net, yet RJ only got 3 FT and Barnes got 0. but bench players on Charlotte side got FTs for the same type of drive

At around the 2 min mark, there was a missed call where goaltending, Barnes got fouled, put a shot up, ball hit the board so should had been a goaltend

Hopefully, this is a one-off in officiating

Yeah we got **** big time. Whatever happened to friendly home whistle? Doesn't exist for us I guess.

it's funny, it felt like a home game for hornets

i was like "do refs have money on this?"

It's fine. They've got to cope with their team stuck in perpetual suckage somehow.

Refs giving Nuggets a hard time at home too, no calls vs the Bulls and Bulls getting everything this quarter

Might be a league wide thing tonight

Refs were betting on this game for sure.

Raptors/Hornets on a random Monday night. Easy target.

I was pretty pissed when Scottie got called for an offensive foul when he didn't even dip his shoulder, after not getting a single FT despite being hacked all game. Then I was about to pop when they tried to take his game tying dunk away lol. Annoying game, but glad they won.

Demar should never be put in the same sentence as a guy like BI. BI does everything better, and most things much better.

the real issue is that so many people just refuse to accept that DD was just plain bad.

My biggest criticism of DeMar was the pecking order. The pecking order was DeMar, DeMar, DeMar, Kyle, Jonas. Jonas would get the defensive rebound and be the first player down the court and just get ignored. We had to get rid of DeMar so Kyle could realize there were other players on the team.
