His face was fully submerged in Draymond's crotch. I'd imagine it being difficult knowing what's going on in that circumstance.

Can you imagine if Wemby had to face the 90s centers, Shaq, Olajuwon, Ewing, even fat-free David Robinson would be too rough for him...

Looks bad and seems reckless for sure, especially since as a Warriors fan I HATE when players get overly aggressive diving for the basketball around Stephs legs.

But Podz has never been dirty in the years he’s been on the team, although he does go after every ball or try to take charges that could lead to stuff like this. For instance, he clocked Ja in the head a couple weeks ago and instantly apologized (Ja knew it wasn’t intentional and didn’t react).

I also think Wemby and Podz are cool with each other since rookie year when they played on the rising stars team together… remember them having some interviews together and they tend to chat after games. I’d give benefit of the doubt on this one but Podz needs to be a bit more aware of his surroundings moving forward.

Also not sure if this is even where he got hurt, but regardless I hope he’s back in action soon and stays healthy.

Says a Warriors fan. Those are much different looking actions.

People will see what they want to see: A. There's no way that is Wemby's walking or even running stride, he was solely impeding Curry, but also B. Means nothing in a "dirty player" accusation. Players get caught up, players fight for position and/or the ball, and players fall over. It happens. Not everything that happens to your team/player is an attempted felony...

I've always found it weird how little the NBA protects players when it comes to these injuries. This one doesn't seem too obvious or intentional but a "reckless act" leading to an injury should result in a form of punishment.

Not saying this specific action should but there are a number of examples where someone has been injured and the opponent was either super reckless or did it intentionally and nothing came of it.

The actual reports say Wemby attributes the injury to no specific incident. Didn’t really look like the mechanism for a calf injury in my increasingly amateur medical opinion either.

If it is just a general injury something of a concern in such a young man. Might not be related but he must have some of the longest calf muscles and one of the longest Achilles’ tendons in the world.
