I don't know enough about their team, so I'm probably wrong... but in my opinion, AD would steal too much of the spotlight (and touches) from their high-potential prospects and could negatively affect their development. Well, you should think about it (and I'm rooting for Dallas)... AD isn't available even 1/3 of the time (literally), he earns a fortune and needs a new contract... oh, and his defense has regressed.
You make some very good points. Still, I would be willing to take a chance buying low on a guy like Davis. If it totally doesn't work we still have some assets left and we could get out of the contract if we really wanted to down the road.
Personally (on paper), I like how White (Boston) or a younger wing like H. Jones (NOP) would fit in.
