Liked the book a lot. Really looking forward to this one. Feel like the marketing dept chose an interesting path of revealing so much in the trailers.

I'm a few episodes into The Last Frontier. Every show is contrived and I'm fine with that, I just want to be entertained. This one is super contrived lol. But I like it well enough and I like Jason Clarke. I don't really like Haley Bennett.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Really excited for this. I almost feel they had to give away a decent amount otherwise it kind of looks boring? I lovvvved the book, more than I liked The Martian (and Artemis sucked) so I can't wait.
Started Pluribus last night. Loved the first two episodes.

I liked the first episode of The Beast in Me. I've always liked Matthew Rhys and Claire Danes.

Heard it was good.
I never watched the Americans after the first season. Think I'm gonna go back and give that a shot.

The Americans was great imo. I'm ticked that Perry Mason was canceled, I'm happy to see Matthew Rhys back, even in a limited series.

Perry Mason was so good and I'm still pissed they cancelled it after only two seasons. Watched the first episode of The Beast In Me. Liked it but didn't love it. Feels like a kind of run-of-the-mill thriller, but I'll give it a few more episodes.

Yes highly recommend going back to the Americans. Definitely on the slower side of TV shows so I see why folks might have quit it, but in a way that might be what made it so good to just do it right rather than forcing crazy storylines/action like so many other thriller/political shows do where the conspiracies are soooo over the top. Keri Russel is also one who is good everything, like Rhys and Danes.
I did Beast in Me in the last few days. Generally good and entertaining all the way. But as someone said, its run in the mill thriller. But its perfectly good, well acted, story isn't cray over the top conspiracy. I don't think anyone is gonna walk away saying its one of the best or most original shows they've ever seen, but I also don't see how anyone would not be entertained and engaged in it.
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

I rarely watch any popular anime these days, but I was really looking forward to season 3 of One Punch Man after a long delay (5-6 years). And oh boy, is it getting rightfully crucified for how bad it looks. I don't know if the rumors are true that they basically outsourced the production to a budget studio, but it's wild how badly they dropped the ball. Just watch Season 1 and stop there IMO.

Never watched Anime myself until recently when I started Attack on Titan. I only have a few episodes left and it truly deserves all the hype it gets.

That's funny, a friend of mine was begging me to get into this series a few months ago. But I've never been an Anime guy. No Pokémon. No Dragonball Z. The closest was, I don't know, Avatar: The Last Airbender? Not sure if that even qualifies as Anime.
I might have to reconsider and try Attack on Titan.

PBS is running a 6 part, 12 hour Ken Burns Doc on the American Revolution. I'm going to have to find time to watch it - I generally enjoy his docs.

Also, I finished Death By Lightning. I agree that it's more "meh" than good. The cast is great, but it's just hard to tell an interesting story in four episodes about a three month presidency.
I think it would have been more interesting if they gave more background on the spoils system and Johnson/Grant/Hayes. I enjoy this stuff, so I already knew the background, but most folks don't and I think going into that background would have made Garfield's stances more poignant.

I’m also eager to see this.
I fear that excitement for a new Ken Burns joint is, my finest friends, probably a way for us to collectively say we are “gentlemen of an age” without actually saying we are “gentlemen of an age”. Now, how about those prostates!

Final episode airs Friday night. Ken Burns is the best.

I hope there's an American Revolution historian analog of Shelby Foote who bathed the project in King George apologia. Jefferson Davis can sip on a tank of condensed farts; there is zero tragedy in his downfall.
Am mostly joking, love Burns' stuff, The Civil War violin score is still stuck in my head, and the Vietnam series was tremendous.
