Poeltl can more than hold his own against tubby Drummond. Who cares about Maxey. He always goes off against us, but I highly doubt he and some rookie are going to beat us with the way we're playing.

Put Scottie on Maxey. :starwars

Then Shead off the bench on him.

Everyone go look at Trendon Watfords stats for the year then look at the 1 game against us.
They better not let this scrub go off again

The buffoon from Cameroon isn't playing but i still really want to beat them even if they're a lot more likeable with him and PG out. Screw em.

I'm greedy. Want this one too. We already took an L to them before. Take this one, keep the good things rolling.

Could anyone have predicated potentially being 10-5 after sliding to 1-4 to start the year? Crazy...

Thaddy wrote:Poeltl will be better than Barnes against Embiid. But we will need our shooting here. I would play Battle more than Walter and Dick. We need to have gravity here.

The starting line up isn't working great. We should make early subs and get energy in fast. I would use IQ off ball with Shead at the 1 maybe even RJ.

Poeltl / CMB
Barnes / Mamu
Ingram / Mogbo
IQ / Battle
RJ / Shead

This wins its for us. I'd even try Battle at PF next to Mamu when Embiid is off the floor. Get the shooting in and set the tempo. We need to win the minutes he's off the ball and then go at him when he's on and wear him down.

Otherwise if we can stop Maxey we probably win this easily. Crowd him and make him drive then use long defenders and help defense to cut off the drives and make hard close outs. Mogbo would be very good for that.

The key would be to adjust at the half. Sit the cold players who are making mistakes and play the hot ones a lot.

Even though Battle is a better 3 point shooter, opposing teams still respect Gradey and he does warp spacetime.

i know it's a bit optimistic but i'd say there's maybe a 50/50 chance of us being 15-5 in 10 days. wouldn't that be cool.

ESPN gonna ESPN

today's power rankings:

Raps in 12th place
Atlanta 9th (we beat them twice and have a better record)
Knicks 6th (we have a better record)
Cavs 5th (we beat them twice)

I'd still have Cavs and Knicks above us just based on historical / we have to prove.

Hawks is ridiculous.

Joel "doubtful" Embiid not playing so no 15 easy FTs for the Sixers tonight. We also gave up 15 Offensive Rebounds and 22 second chance points last game. Doubt that happens again with Poeltl playing. I say we win 115-107.

the thing is that in theory these are supposed to be about where teams are at as of this week. that's why they release them each week. not 'how good we think they are regardless of how they're actually doing'.

I don't think they're necessarily easier to beat with him out of the game. Some scrub will pop up to surprise us.

yeah but they never are. Like if the Hornets started 7-0, nobody would have them as the #1 team in the ranking.

With Embiid, PG, Oubre all out... this becomes a must win or it'll be a really bad loss.

Our team was just on a back to back last game. They looked tired.
