They might not even be the smallest team in the world cup.

Called it.

Both Curaçao and Haiti are helluva stories, but I stand by my position that it’s far too easy to qualify from these confederations compared to Europe.

the haiti run was difficult, they never played at home due to the problems ie violence etc happening in the country...

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: . The way Denmark blew this qualifier is absurd. Draw vs Belarus at home where a win would be given them insurmountable lead on goal difference going into final game vs Scotland and that match would have been pure formality training game. Then dominate Scotland all game ( nearly 80% possession at score 2-2) despite playing 30 min with 10 men and gift all goals to a team, who created nothing all game. Great bicycle kick by McTominay but it was result of careless giveaway by Damsgaard near his own box. Second goal Schmeichel does his best Onana impression and falls asleep on the goal line during corner - any keeper would have claimed that ball with ease. Third - pathetic giveaway again after Hjulmand fails to clear simple ball. 4th did not really matter anymore so I can give Schmeichel a pass from being so high up - but again it was bad pass which resulted in giveaway and that goal. Just absurd, pathetic loss.

Sure it was difficult for them, but they will likely finish with zero points in their group at the tournament. Still, congratulations…I’ll be rooting for them unless they’re playing USA or Italy

That reminds me each time we send Osimhen for an international break we have to **** nickels because something happens.

One time they got stranded in Libya, another time their plane had a cracked windshield, and he picks up an injury each time he is in Africa. This week he picked up an injury that will keep him out for a month, and once he recovers he'll be heading there again for the african cup without playing a single game for Gala. Essentially Gala has been paying his 21m per year salary for him to play for Nigeria, not to mention 80m transfer fee. So frustrating.

Italy vs N.Ireland
Wales vs Bosnia
Final at Wales-Bosnia winner

Ukraine vs. Sweden
Poland vs. Albania
Final at Ukraine-Sweden winner

Turkey vs. Romania
Slovakia vs. Kosovo
Final at Slovakia-Kosovo winner

Denmark vs. Macedonia
Czechia vs. Ireland
Final at Czechia-Ireland winner

Really weird system to have a draw for the home field in the final game. Just have them play in a neutral site. They are essentially punishing the top seeds.

Anyway should be fun games. Since most of the top seeds will play the finals away, there won't be any heavy favorites.

Yea who gets to be home for the final is another complete joke. There are four top seeds, they should be home if they make it. If that was too difficult then definitely a neutral site makes more sense

Why is that a surprise? It has been a decade since they didn’t have to go through the playoffs for WC.

Gattuso was a terrible choice imo but I hope they make it. World Cup needs the Italians in America involved.

Lol, I loathe the Azzuri yet I agree with this.

Sad to see Cameroon miss the WC. Really liked their teams from the late 90s/early 2000s, so always hope they make the WC.
