today's power rankings:

Raps in 12th place
Atlanta 9th (we beat them twice and have a better record)
Knicks 6th (we have a better record)
Cavs 5th (we beat them twice)

I'd still have Cavs and Knicks above us just based on historical / we have to prove.

Hawks is ridiculous.

People really love the "Hawks without Trae" narrative lol

But then when they start losing again all you gonna hear is "they didn't have trae" lol

Poeltl can more than hold his own against tubby Drummond. Who cares about Maxey. He always goes off against us, but I highly doubt he and some rookie are going to beat us with the way we're playing.

Our team was just on a back to back last game. They looked tired.

Wasn't that Ingram's first back to back in like a decade too?

Is it me or we always have an answer for Hawks w/or w/o Trae Young?

Where did you see mcl sprain?

Not great, at least his game isn't really above the rim athleticism anyway but dislike knee stuff on a guy as big and thick as him for sure

Watford Jokic incoming I’m terrified
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

injuries create opportunities. Mogbo isn't CMB but at least he's active and can defend. Darko has to get creative here.

the thing is that in theory these are supposed to be about where teams are at as of this week. that's why they release them each week. not 'how good we think they are regardless of how they're actually doing'.

yeah but they never are. Like if the Hornets started 7-0, nobody would have them as the #1 team in the ranking.

i can't remember which sport it is, maybe baseball? football? where they do actually have the power rankings reflect performance as opposed to expectations. like if the hornets started 7-0 then yeah for sure put them at the top. otherwise it's just meaningless personal bias stuff and what's the point? much more interesting if they actually have it reflect performance. especially early in the season.

2025-26: 106M
2026-27: 113M
2027-28: 120M

Combined salaries for Embiid and PG13. Insane numbers for part-time plyers. Lucky for them they seemed to nail the last 2 drafts.

Mogbo is with the 2-ways in the G-League for the 905's Wed/Thurs back-to-back. Ochai is listed as probable though, so they should still have 11 guys available tonight.
