He's a troll. Just ignore the posts.

I think he's just really young. Maybe a teenager or just out of high school. Everyone knows a teenager somewhere who thinks he's smarter than everyone older than him.

At least try to learn how MLB contracts work, geez.

Bieber picked up his player option

I don't believe he was eligible for a QO

Not sure if serious
He picked up his option? He came
Off Tommy John and pitched 8 games. Jays were surprised he did that as well. He has his reasons
Bo’ first chance at free agency and declined qualifying offer which 99% of players do (this year is an anomaly due to the talent )
The rate is lower than what he expects to get and guaranteed money

And what happened with Pete Alonso, Sean Manaea, and Teoscar Hernandez in 2024?
Aaron Nola and Cody Bellinger in 2023?
Brandon Nimmo, Anthony Rizzo, and Aaron Judge in 2022?

These were all players who turned down the qualifying offer from their team, and still signed with that team later.

He picked up his player option. Do you even know what a qualifying offer is?

Seems like the Dodgers are looking for more of a Snell/Bregman situation with Tucker rather than signing him to like 350-400 outright. With Grisham taking his 21 million QO (Lmao) seems like were the only real suitor that would pay him. Phillies are in it if Schwarber leaves, Os were i think but then they got Ward, I think that would leave like us and the Giants? I think its laid out pretty perfectly for us to try for Bo + Tucker and we should go for it.

Ok, guys I'm wrong, sorry for being stubborn. Sorry, forgive me please .

Anyhow, I don't think Jays have a good chance of getting Bichette back, as much as I want him. We should focus on getting Tucker, who will benefit us and is complementary to Vladdy I think, I can be wrong. Also, let's be the team to FINALLY be a non-Dodgers team taking a Japanese player, we lost Ohtani, we lost Yamamoto, we cannot lose Imai (or any other high-end starting pitchers).

I also don't know why we added Tiedemann, he will be injured again this year. Wow

Good they're partially distracted, now's everyone's time to pounce of Imai

We didn't sign Tieddeman. We added him to our 40 man so he wouldn't be exposed to the Rule 5 draft

Who is better value Framber Valdez on a 6/$200 million or Ranger Saurez 6/$130 or do you trade for Cabera from Miami?

In a ideal world I'd love to see Tucker go to The Mets or Philly and Toronto get Bichette and Bellinger but that's wishful thinking but I wouldn't complain about Tucker here on a 10/$350-$400 million

Agreed he's an injury risk. He's still your 4th best prospect and probably too early to let him slip away for nothing

Since nothing is happening right now, I'll continue to obsess about Pinango. Still don't understand not putting Pinango on the 40.

Long post yesterday, but in summary even if Jays signed 5 free agents and you put Pinango on the 40, you would need to waive 4 of the following (or trade them for cash or non eligible prospect):
- Lucas
- Bruihl
- Schultz
- Jimenez
- Clase
- Nance
- Bastardo (who has to be put on the big league roster this year or returned)
- Estrada
- Macko

If you only sign 4 free agents, its just 3.
Lucas, Bruihl are easy waives. You can figure out the other 1 or 2 needed from that list.

I don’t think a 1-yr contract takes the Yankees out of the Tucker sweepstake’s. I expect they’ll still want to push for him, especially a year after losing out on Soto. They need a splash after a disappointing year

Similarly for Dodgers. They had $80m+ come off the payroll this year, and Freeman will be done in a couple of years. Now is the time for them to spend before the new CBA, might be the last big contract they are able to sign for many years

It’ll take $350m+ to get Tucker, possibly $400m.

This is more going based off what Yankee fans and their salary expectations are. Seems Hal doesnt wanna go too far over 300+ million. Plus they probably are more focused on Cody and even him at 250+ is a tight squeeze. I could be wrong but projected payroll is around 263 for them right now. And Tucker would basically take them to the 300 mill mark by himself.

Dodgers im more going on what ive read they have enough to just toss 400 at Tucker. Seems like they want to see if his market is drier and give him a front loaded opt-out deal. I could see us bidding with them but I think we have the most logical path too him imo.

Cabrera is under team control till 29? That is interesting.
Of the other two, I would rather Kirk not get crossed up.

If Tucker doesn't sign in Toronto I would rather any national league team not named the Dodgers
I am with you on Bichette and I don't hate Belli as much as the X-Verse seems to but its all about cost but I wouldn't hate it.
