Other than that, Darko got these guys playing right

The 10 turnovers between him and Ingram combined worry me more than his scoring.

The turnovers come from Scottie’s hesitance on offence. He doesn’t know if he should take the easy drive or force a pass under the rim that turns into a turnover. Just needs to be more selfish when he’s in the paint and the turnovers will go away.

Once he gets below the free throw line he should not be passing back out. Dude needs to just flat out go strong to the basket

Could really use someone to take that starting role when Poeltl misses some games.

I do feel frustrated at how often he defers when it feels like he should attack, or when he makes that one unnecessary pass from inside (often an attempt to Poeltl).

For the record I have this team top 6 in the east but they’re still a tier below contender. I don’t expect them to make a deep run in the playoffs.

When the raptors traded for kawhi I knew that team was a contender. And you still see how hard it was for them to get to the finals and win it all. I don’t see that same level of talent from this squad. I think even the team without kawhi the year after was better than this team and they didn’t even get past the 2nd round.

It was the Gasol trade that truly made them a contender....this current Raptors team still has trades to make. Not a big name player but 1 or 2 role players...that preferably bring elite defense.

I think this team is prime to make a big Kawhi like trade. The league isn't as deep as it was in 2019 - contender status is way lower than it was then. think about the East then. Prime Giannis Bucks. Embiid/Butler Sixers. Kawhi Raps. Kyrie/Tatum Celtics. Arguably 4 teams who all would be #1 in the East right now.

Thanks. Funny the team is so deep now that for some reason my brain didn't realize he was missing.

I just want to make sure you’ve seen my posts this thread. They all involve praising Rj as well as calling out negativity in the same way other people call out my negativity. Also I’ve had other contributions in terms of making smart ass comments like calling Nick nurses fake comeback so the negativity was directed towards the other team.

Please add this to the tally of all the posts you keep track of mine when building my track record of spamming to board with negativity. Also please take into account that I by calling out the negativity I am trying to spread positivity by supporting the team as currently constructed. The logical inference should be that I like the current starting lineup.

Also pleas help me in making sure we limit the criticisms to players that are playing well, Ie Rj Barrett and quickley and make sure the board knows that we should be supporting these players when they play well.

Thank you.

His "strong" finishes have been sad lately. Dunk it on them man.

I checked the schedule to see if we had any games against the Pistons coming up and we don’t play our first game against them until mid February. Schedule is crazy.

The last game before the AS break

I wonder if the streaming giants are willing to flex games, we had no such luck during the Lowry era

Likely will add one at the deadline or buyout market after they decide what to do with the tax situation.

Probably flip Ochai or Walter for a big.

We need more rebounding for sure.

Crazy stat: We had a game earlier in the season against the Spurs where our leading rebounder was CMB with 3.

The guys on the roster just have to get better at it.

Jabari Walker is 6"7 and grabbed 5 offensive boards, it's not like it was lack of size at C that caused that to happen.

I guess as a team coming off a season like last year, winning the games you are supposed to is a step in the right direction. Schedule's definitely favoring us. Hope is they get into enough of a groove that by the time tough stretch of the season comes around, they can still win some of the harder games.

I like RJ especially when he's not forcing things, picks his spots, and competes on defense but can't help but feel if there's going to be improvement to the starting lineup, that's where it should come from. Either in the form of better defense, more shooting, or more explosiveness. All of the above preferrably but that's a pipe dream. But all the other players in starting lineup have something definitive to offer over Barrett. Problem is, I have no idea where that upgrade would be coming from or how. So we have to play bit of the long game with that one. For now, would be happy if they did something about roster imbalance and got another big that can play PF/C. That's going to come bite us in the ass at some point this season if something isn't done.

Would love to get Goga Bitadze as a back up. Too bad it would never happen. The Magic have 4 Cs. Too bad 2 of them are Orlando Robinson and Colin Castleton.

Pistons have had 8 home games and one of the easiest schedules.

We're coming for them as well.

Cavs play defense very well but if we lose to that team I will be very disappointed. They should not be better than the Raptors and they will start losing once they face better teams.

As critical as I've been from Walter, felt good to watch him have a positive stretch of ball

We do this all the time. No player is perfect. We know that and all other GMs know that.

Who are we going to get who is better than RJ for RJ? Why would another GM give up a better player for him? And no I dont want an often injured AD.

Sure we could trade him for expiring and picks, but that helps us win how?

RJ for Derrick White.....just an example. They were looking to make that trade recently, but didn't go through because of picks.
