Pretty good discussion. I think I'm coming down to trade AD asap and trade Kyrie when his value is maximized.

BWill... love his skills and speed (dude is a blur), but he has some of the worst court vision I've ever seen for an NBA PG. Unfortunately, I think vision is like speed, you can work around the edges, but you're born with it. Because all signs are for team tank, I'd love to give DLo's minutes to Nembhard.

Defense wins draft lotteries!
Fortune favours the bold, so it ducked Nico Harrison.

Dyson Daniels... dude can't buy a 3pointer, but like all players of his calibre (see Kidd), that will be developed over time. IMO, he's whom you could build a team around with Coop. DD, Coop, and PJ is a hell of a core to build around. At that point you're a young dead-eye shooting SG and C from an amazing lineup.

If DLive can shed the street clothes, he'd be great. History just tells us bigs don't go from young injury prone to veteran durable.

Thoughts?

No way Altanta will trade him. Maybe only for Flagg.

But if we find a way he is perfect for us.

Ya, he's perfect. Even with Kyrie returning. After KP has his season-ending injury, I hope they'll be looking to add a piece. I know PJ's not enough, but if we could get some FRPs for AD...

Bobby Marks on Mavs financial situation next summer: "It's the most dire that's it been, ever in franchise history."

GJ Nico, what a wonderful GM you have been. :banghead:

It looks like the Rozier contract should be the biggest need. AD to MIA?

Luka Doncic now has more 40-point games (4) than the Mavericks have wins (3)

Agree.

An infinite loop
You guys make me laugh.
I love it.
The franchise needs to hang a banner in the rafters that says Nico Fired 2025!

To think that this guy was suppose to change things for the better. Nice job Mark Cuban!

If AD can get in shape and be healthy, it could make a lot of sense for MIA. Something like:

DAL receives: Herro + Rozier + 26 MIA FRP
MIA receives: AD + Hardy

DAL gets a still young all star in Herro that can grow with Flagg. He's recovering after an injury so it doesn't really hurt the tank. He's able to play on and off the ball well. Rozier is for matching purposes and we get a FRP that will likely be in the 18-20s. Obviously if we can squeeze out another FRP or Ware, that would be ideal.

MIA puts out one of their best SLs since the Heatles with Mitchell/Powell/Wiggins/AD/Bam. That's a seriously good defensive team with good enough offense, particularly with Spo as a coach to do a lot of damage in the East. They likely will not be able to sign both Powell AND Herro in the offseason so this gets rid of that potential problem as well.

That really does make all the sense in the world for both franchises.

I will say I do think you could probably squeeze a little more here. But with that said, I do think this is one of the better trade ideas I’ve seen on here in awhile.

Basically every point you made, I was over here nodding my head going, “yup that makes complete sense.”

It’s also the kind of big name splash move that Miami loves to make.

This is encouraging. Even though this should have been the plan to start with.

Jason Kidd on interest from Knicks: I never thought of leaving Dallas

Jason Kidd confirmed that the Dallas Mavericks denied the New York Knicks’ request last summer to interview him for their head coaching vacancy, but the 52-year-old Hall of Famer said he never seriously considered leaving Texas for the East Coast. “I was never thinking about leaving Dallas,” Kidd said before Wednesday’s game between the Mavericks and Knicks. “I love working for (Mavericks governor) Patrick (Dumont). Understanding that we have a lot of work here to be done. I’m all in to be able to do that. I was drafted here. I have won here. I love the city. I love the fans. It never crossed my mind to leave Dallas.”

Another horrible move, the Knicks tried to save us.
