These young players have been thrown into probably the worst possible situation ever. It might make them some of the strongest mentally and emotionally tough players ever. It also might break the weaker willed players. I warned that this was a possibility, and I was bashed for it.

The trade of Avdija falls right in line with his predecessor. How has drafting Kispert over Sengun worked out? This organization seems doomed to continue extremely poor roster decisions.

Detroit lost 28 straight just two years ago. Guess who is in first place in the East now.

The current mgt didn't draft Kispert.

Only Cade, Jalen, Ivey and Stewart are the only players still on that team. And, the pistons were actually competitive against good teams in that 28 game losing streak.

So what? We were competitive with the Wolves last night. We went to OT with the Pistons and Sixers. Does that matter? No it really doesn't.
Detroit had the worst record in the league the year before they lost 28 straight. It doesn't matter now.
I am sure, and certainly hope, that many of our current players wont be here in a year or two.

Both the sixers and pistons were on the second game of back to back games, and blew the wizards out by 20 to 30 points in the second half. Hardly seems competitive to me. The timberwolves had the Wizards down by 20 in under 6 minutes into the second quarter, and 25 at the half. Again, hardly seems competitive to me.
Additionally, Jalen missed 15 of those 28 games, and jaden and Stewart missed a few as well.

This team is WAY BETTER than their tanking reveals without close inspection.
-CJ McCollum was comatose until about 5 games ago.
-Kyshawn finally got the most FGAs, not CJ.
-Khris Middleton had a pulse against Minnesota. Like CJ, he can redeem value.
-Bub got a welcomed break, not starting.
-Bilal is ready to blow up
-Whitmore is very definitely a scorer
-Tre is who they thought they were drafting
-Will Riley seems to be that dude
-Justin Champagnie is lunch pale solid.
Washington has talent. Plenty.
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen
I told you so
I told you so

Hence why I said the Avdija trade falls in line with his predecessor.

Again, so what? You think none of Detoits "competitive games" were against teams that played the night before? Back to backs aren't a new thing.
I dont care whether you think a game is competitive or not. The definition of clutch time is a 5 point game with 5 minutes or less left in the game. This was a 5 pt game with 4 minutes left and Kyshawn was at the line with a chance to cut it to 3. That is a competitive game whether you like it or not.

I am not going to check all their competitive games against good teams. I just checked the first 2 (unless Atlanta was good that season), the bucks and the nuggets. Both games were tight throughout the game. The bucks were not on the second game of back to back games. The nuggets were, but so were the pistons.

You wouldn't have counted the Bucks game if the Wizards had played them since Giannis was ejected with 9 minutes left in the 3rd.

Fine, the knicks jumped out to a big lead in the first quarter, pistons erased it in the second quarter. Game was tight rest of the way, and the knicks weren’t on the second of back to back games.

When Denver played Detroit Jokic was ejected in the first half

The Bucks were an expansion team in 68-69. They won
a chip in 70-71.

I haven’t moved any goal posts. You keep crying that the examples showing you wrong shouldn’t count, so I merely provide another example.
Against the Celtics who were not on second of back to back games, fell way behind in the first half. Erased it in the 3rd quarter. Fourth quarter was tight.

A 14 team league, where the bucks got Lew Alcindor (or was he Kareem by then) the next season.

Nonsense. You tried to say the game last night wasn't close when Kyshawn had foul shots to cut the lead to 3 with 4 minutes left. There is no argument about that being a competitive game.
Then with the pistons you give examples of games when the other teams best player got ejected, as if that didnt affect the outcome. When a MVP isn't on the floor that isn't the same team.

I wasn’t trying to move the goal posts. Just responding to what you said about the pistons. I didn’t even realize that you were still talking about the Minnesota game. We will just have to agree to disagree about that game.
What it all boils down to is you are optimistic and I am not. I am not trying to convince you that your optimism is misguided, just responding to your insistent attempts to mock me for not being optimistic.

I am not mocking you because you are not optimistic. I am mocking you because of the stupidity of your argument.
You talk about the pistons being competitive with good teams while losing 28 straight games, as if that matters, then you site as examples two games where MVPs got ejected in the middle of the game.
