Through their first 13 games, the Sixers have gone to clutch time in 11 of them. The most in the league. In those moments, they’ve posted a +38.1 net rating, 4th best in the NBA, and have come out with a 7–4 record in those games.

Giannis is out. That means there’s a chance Embiid will play against the Bucks.

McCain has been cleared to play back to backs which he was likely physically able to do back in like June.

Embiid is out again tonight. Josh Harris is going to have a very apathetic fanbase one, two, three years into this extension. Appropriate considering that's how he feels about the team.

Wow. At what point does medical retirement become a option and when should the team petition for it?

I'd bet he wants to play and this is the team holding him out.

Embiid decided not to play after he was told Paul George was on fire during shootaround

Hope i´m wrong but Embiid´s season is kinda looking like last year: he played some games( no back to backs) then missed like 10-15 games, got back, played some others games, still complaining about knee pain, while the team said he his knees were fine, and it was a "dealing with the pain" situation. After that he ended not playing anymore for the year.

If it happens again, we really should stretch his contract like the Bucks did with Dame. He probably should retire, but he wont leave that fortune on the table lol...

Who would leave that much guaranteed money on the table ? From humble beginnings to walking away from guaranteed millions just to show up and try and play basketball....it's never going to happen.

Correct... Just pretend to try every year

But I still believe in Jo. His last game was his best game. They need to bring in specialist trainers for him. A team that will help him with overcompensation how to walk properly. Like they did before telling him to fall instead of landing on his feet..... I mean the good news is that his old left knee wasn't swelling. It's just overcompensation with his right knee. He's lost weight, but I still feel like he needs to wear braces and focus more on facilitating as a hub in the half court and defense and just boxing out. Maybe lose more weight

Been thinking about this and I hope I’m reading it right. Last season the team had this weird vibe, like everyone sensed something was off. This year feels different. They’re optimistic but grounded with the whole Embiid situation, and it looks like they’re genuinely locked in on taking a real shot. The plan to manage Embiid seems clear, something both the team and Embiid actually believe in, and you can see the path forward.

If you look around the league, so many stars are suddenly “injured,” but I’m not convinced those are all real issues. A lot of teams look like they’re sitting guys early because the schedule got front loaded for the NBA Cup. Meanwhile it feels like we’ve been hit with a bunch of back to backs lately.

Yeah our schedule has been rough - in our first 15 games we’ve had 4 back to backs & 3 of those had us playing 3 games in 4 days.

We’ve got a huge break coming in December from 12/7-12/19 which will be great to get everyone rested. But then we’ve got 17 games in Jan which is brutal.

Overall just a mess of a schedule, the NBA needs to cut down to 70 games.
