Re: Dallas Mavericks 2025 Trade thread -- Roster and Cap and the 1st page
Not going to happen as Washington wont do it, but I'd like to see
Atlanta - Anthony Davis
Washington - Trae Young
Dallas - Tre Johnson, CJ MCCollum
CJ can run the team while Ky recovers, and he expires after this season. Dallas brings Tre J the Longhorn home to be a long term piece with Coop

Mavs' Dante Exum to undergo season-ending knee surgery...
Nico is the gift that just cannot stop giving. And OMax is still owed money from Mavs cap next season

Fire Nico!

Darn FanSpo failed me. Good to know, thank you sir. I guess the easy fix is to replace the 26 FRP with whatever is available and toss in Ware.

Just release Klay and his curse on the Mavs.
Everyone has a right to be stupid. Some just abuse the privilege.

Nico was finally right about something. DLo is going to be a problem.

I saw this trade idea posted on Twitter
Nets: Klay Thompson, Dwight Powell, Yam Madar’s rights, three 2nd round picks and cash.
Celtics: Daniel Gafford, $27.7M TPE
Mavs: Anfernee Simons, Haywood Highsmith

That’s been his behavior everywhere he’s been. Don’t know why anyone expected anything different from him here.

If we can trade everyone not named Cooper, Max and Derek and yield the following, I'd be more than on board:
1. Two 2026 1st round draft picks (not counting ours).
2. At least one future 1st round draft pick.
3. At least two 2nd rounders.
4. Two players with decent upside 25 yo or younger.
5. At least one expiring to clear enough cap space to sign a good FA next year.

You're very demanding knowing that you have to move some bad contracts too, one star is notoriously known for being nonstop injured and other rehabilitating from ACL.
But yes, it would be a great result.
I was kinda optimistic about them clearing the house, but with those news how Cuban and Kidd are having big influence, I'm not anymore. Kyrie is for sure not going anywhere.

I know that is a stretch but people seem to think we'll get something for AD.
Personally, I don't see why any team would want him and his brutal contract, let alone give up a pick.
I'm at the point of putting AD (and maybe Kyrie) in the same category as Embiid and KP in terms of reliability.
Washington and Gaff could yield some decent assets, and I think we could get a 2nd for Klay.
It might be stretching it, but Naji might actually return a late 1st rounder to a team who might need wing depth.
And Kyrie would be a big risk to a team as well but I imagine we'd get something positive for him.
I think Cuban is creating some type of smoke screen on the AD trade rumors to make people think he still has some decent value.
I'll be shocked and pissed if him and Klay are still on the team after the TDL.

In my eyes Klay is negative value, Martin even more, let say that Gafford and Naji make those 2 neutral, but you're for sure not getting much from those 4 together. You basically have AD, I believe cap relief and 1st is what you can get for him. PJ, 1 FRP and then Kyrie, who I don't believe will be traded this season, but let's say is at max worth similar what we paid to Nets.
Interesting how much more is AD criticised for missing a lot of games, while Kyrie has missed more games than AD since 18/19 season.
