Just for verification. I never once asked for any numbers to be changed. I am only acknowledging that this product is the “k-mart” version of the actually league. 2K at least tries to be comparable. I sure hope Bish doesn’t spend real money for this

I'm just a bit confused, the season hasn't even started. This is your first year trying to win games I believe (I don't blame you for the roster you received in terms of building it up) and you have drafted pretty well so kudos. Just odd since you have been in asset acquisition mode and you did a good job acquiring Mobley who got amazing sim ratings (rightfully so) from what I see. Morant seems really good and Buzelis has 94 potential. Even Kon Knueppel individual ratings look amazing (he's going to be one of the best shooters) Just wondering do you have a specific gripe?

I think you have every chance to be a good competitive team from what I'm seeing.

same i never asked for any numbers to be changed too. but i agree with your sentiments. i was even looking at 2k's ratings to compare and their ratings are much more comparable to the actual nba. like there's no player in 2k that has a 100 rating in anything, which is how it should be. but it is what it is. gary is using some weird stat to come up with these ratings.

I saw from the Gary commentary that bish posted that there is a feature to edit the ratings.

Perhaps we can see how bish feels about editing some of the more outlandish ratings that are clear outliers.

Not sure how everyone would feel about that, tho?

I mean, you're likely gonna get pushback from the, say, Deuce McBride owners on that one.

You can edit all of my guys down if you want this year though. Fizdale effect. I have Jalen Brunson running SSOL ffs.

I mostly got screwed in terms of rating though. Donovan is only a 85....might not be top 20 overall in the sim rating after an all-nba, top 5 mvp season.

It usually ends up playing mostly fine anyway once the sim plays out. I am sure he will be fine. Always outliers too. Some guys are up, some guys are down...Def against adjusting ratings manually as then you probably have to adjust everyone.

Handles is just some combination of low turnovers and assist to turnover ratio from what I can tell. Deuce just doesn't turn the ball over. He has a low passing rating because he doesn't have high assists. So the SIM likely has him around 3 assists per game and maybe .5 to .6 turnovers like he does IRL. When you have a 4:1 or 5:1 assist to turnover ration you will have high handle rating.

It doesn't mean he's crossing up dudes left and right like Kyrie

4-years I have been told that the Sim is just a year behind the real thing but very accurate.

I anticipate this and trade a large haul for the upcoming DPOY. Nailed it! Mission accomplished! So happy!

I’m pretty frustrated that I paid good money for an IRL defensive stopper who got an 61 DEF rating. But I agree w/standing pat with the ratings, as inexplicable as some of them are. But at some point, if it's even possible, it would be good to better understand the methodology behind the DEF rating to help with team building. Defense is half of the game!

EDIT: It would also be good to know the answer to 3toheadmelo's question about whether our version of the sim will incorporate the promised roster update, because maybe that'll address some of the more glaring aberrations.

Anyway, back to the regular hyping of IRL performances (that will *hopefully* be reflected next year!) -- I feel horrible for Kings fans, but I welcome the inevitable Raynaudisance...

If someone is paying for the program to get like a 1-2 week head start of Bish posting that would be quit the investment . Not that it matters. I you think someone is lurking with that slight advantage just don't make trades with anyone in that week the SIM is released and Bish posts the ratings. Seems pretty simple.

yeah idk you seemed pretty offended to me to make that comment cause someone who has the sim would react that way but idc if you have it like i said already.

but anyways, since you are the only team that doesn't have a def rating below 60. can you explain to us what your methods are? many of us don't understand the sim as well as you. which is why there's a bit of an outrage with these ratings because it doesn't make any sense to us. you seem to have a very good idea on who's going to get a good rating or not.

Spent yesterday going through some advance stats and I think I figured defense and offense efficiency out. Too bad I'll have to wait until next season smh.

The one thing I will say is that DFG% is very important.
