I am confused with the premise of the thread. Isn't this what we want? The team should use their energy in the 3rd and 4th Q. This simply means they are coasting till it matters.

For so long we had teams that crumbled in the 3rd and 4th Q. This is what we actually want.

Also means they are making good adjustments.

But yeah ideally we don't want to dig a hole for ourselves, but a good sign they are a good 3rd quarter team.

4 man unit of the 4 starters that played every game B. Ingram - R. Barrett - I. Quickley - S. Barnes

First half
B. Ingram - R. Barrett - I. Quickley - S. Barnes
O-RTG 120.5/D-RTG 124.6/Net-RTG -4.1 in 60 minutes
Opp eFG% 60.6%

Second half
B. Ingram - R. Barrett - I. Quickley - S. Barnes
O-RTG 134.1/D-RTG 110.3/Net-RTG +23.8 in 61 minutes
Opp eFG% 46.1%

In aggregate O 127.5/D 117.1/ Net +10.4 and 52.9% eFG% in 121 minutes

Six of our last eight games have been on the road.

In the NBA, the away team decides which end of the court they will start at. Teams typically choose to have their bench be in front of their defence in the second half.

That’s why our defence has been better than the second half.

I get the same impression. I've noticed that teams that work super hard every single possession on both ends early in the game typically get gassed later in the game.
