Watching Cavs and Lonzo Ball, he look so big out there and I keep thinking he has another gear but just never get there. Maybe he is a viable option with the Wolves lineup.
Whoever designed these NBA cup courts mush be color blind or I have a terrible Sony OLED TV.

I would take Lonzo on a minimum with no promise of minutes. Beyond that he is not worth the injury risk.

No one beat the drum for taking a flyer on Lonzo more than me.
But he looks done. He looks nothing like the guy from 2021-22 on either end of the floor.
Its a shame because pre-injury Lonzo is about as good of a backcourt partner for Ant as you could ask for.

Is it something where you take what you can get though? For example, is a C+ version of Lonzo Ball better than a B+ version of someone else?
Money is the hardest part though. I don't think a Donte swap would be the right value for us.

Commentators on Prime is praising how great Ball is a team player, high baseball IQ, defense, and passing the ball. Seems like a lot of stuff Wolves lack. Size at the PG too. He is no all star but you expect Ant, Randle, JMcD, Gobert, Naz to make the all star game.

Ball misses about 50% of games.
If we’re paying someone 38m he better play. I wouldn’t trade any of the 5 you mentions and even if you think moving DDV is worth it (I don’t) you’re still 25m short. The money doesn’t work and he’s not locked in enough to make it worth giving up one of our top 5 (paid) players.

Wrong Ball.

He’s closer to a D- than a C+ right now.
Shooting horribly, their defense is better when he sits and too many turnovers.

Fair.
And while Lonzo makes less than LeMelo, he also (somehow) plays even fewer games. He’s closer to 40% played.
Still no thanks if you can’t stay on the court. What’s the point?

Did Tyus Jones lost his minutes last season in PHO to Gillespie? I mean it says a lot. Anyway, I wonder if MIN need Gillespie type of PG, not Tyus Jones type of PG, who you think might be the next Gillespie story?
