Anyone see the headline that NOLA has interest in Mosely for HC?

Warriors pretty much took out entire lineup out for second night of back to backs.

Mavs look pretty much like Magic 2024-25, without point guard in sight, offense is just flat out pathetic.

Houston took care of Cavs.

Bulls did everything in their power to blow 20 points lead in 4th quarter, but won on last shot.

On East, Hornets, Nets, Pacers and Wizards only win when they face each other

In general, it's too early to look at standings, teams are clustered, only Pistons on top, and 4 tankers on bottom, on East separated themselves.

One team that i did not see coming are Raptors ( their schedule: Nets, Wizards, Pacers, Hornets 4 of next 5) . Yea... their standings will be looking amazing entering December.

Jazz are somehow 10th seed at 5-9 while Bucks are 11th at 8-7 :o

Kings lineup of Westbrook: Derozan, Lavine is such a strong tank squad.

Pelicans just suck, Hawks won jackpot.

Dallas has lot of off court issues. Clear political drama, and now it's clear why Cuban was so fired up to defend Ballmer. Positioned himself back into NBA.
Clippers are washed up & no Kawhi ( or nba suspended him quietly ? )
Grizzlies every night have more people on injury report than in rotation.

Race for bottom will be way more entertaining and crowded than race for top. OKC is in league on it's own. They just fight history at this point.

I love what HOU's doing ...just wish they didn't do it to us.

Excellent defense, excellent length up and down the lineup, redefining offensive rebounding with a scheme and the personnel that prevents them from getting burned for crashing the boards. Tough, fired up Coach. Great balance of vets and young versatile studs...and they added one of the Top 5 clutch assassins for very little. Not sure why, but I find their style more appealing than OKC...I think it's the legit toughness of Udoka and Adams that seem to be their culture-setters. Losing Van Vleet was a big deal but maybe Amen takes another leap in his absence.

I'd rather ORL be compared to HOU than OKC...sadly, our bench players have become a mirage. Isaac, in particular, coulda/woulda/shoulda been the crazy impactful Xp-factor coming in and tearing s**t up defensively for 15 mins per :( . Black fits the vision more frequently than in the past but not much else to talk about - after the starting 5 (with TdS in the lineup). Paolo back with Moe and TdS back to the bench will, hopefully, restore the depth that made us better than we should have been last year...but Isaac (or Goga) needs to start impacting things defensively if we're to be taken seriously. Right now, I'd be giving Penda a long look for the Isaac minutes if things don't get better...maybe that's more likely with Moe providing some reliable offense.

Houston probably just repeats the Harden / CP3 years. They are a top team / contender again at the same time of a probably unbeatable Juggernaught team (+ Nuggets with the best player in the world) while one of their 2 best players is too old to wait it out.

Houston had to go in alternative direction to give themselves chance to beat OKC / Denver, but mostly OKC.
They went all in on a size, in hope for bullyball. Their "role players" Amen & Jabari can guard pretty much all spots.

We will see how it plays out. OKC is still massive favorite to win it all to me.

I think we're one "Bully" away from being able to match up with anyone and potentially overwhelm...I keep talking Kessler because I also envision WCJ off the bench and, hopefully, Penda as guys that can provide that physicality while still moving their feet, moving the ball, and hitting a shot. Bane, AB and Suggs are very physical defenders too. Paolo is a physical bully on offense and Franz has become much bigger and much more physical as well - we all know he's already an exceptional defender. IF Isaac finds his footing, he's a valuable consideration, but right now he's not.

I know the math would be tough to work out but that's a daunting lineup to face...

Kessler, Moe, WCJ
Paolo, WCJ, Penda
Franz, TdS
Suggs, AB
Bane, Jase

Who wants to bang with these guys?

Mosely has at least earned himself another opportunity with a young rebuilding team. He's developed Franz, Suggs, and Paolo.

Player like Kessler in current league is $25-$30M a year guy.

Look at Jakob Pöltl contract as reference. I mean... or use whatever Ballmer is doing to Zubac, Kawhi & company so they all make "team friendly" money and $50M in other... let's call them revenues.

Totally agree but don't see it without giving up someone in that group maybe multiple someones. I put a lot of overemphasis on trading Paolo but the reality is, we have a lot of pieces including Paolo punching above weight this season. The problem is the magical disappearing act of Isaac, and Penda just probably hasn't shown enough to move the needle him to start over that massive Isaac contract.

yeah...and I believe Kessler would have already extended but his people are not aiming for a "team friendly deal" from UTA. I wish there were a way to find a rookie contract version (like we should have drafted instead of Jett). Maybe Penda develops into the role, statistically if not in terms of height...offensive rebounds, physically punishing defense, sensible ball movement and pick-setting, and maybe even hit an open 3 when asked...I don't think that's far off from his draft profile...perhaps there's a lineup with Paolo as the C and offensive hub...just thinking unconventionally about how to utilize our unconventional but very talented roster.

Perusing box scores this morning...
1) Seeing 140 pts isn't rare anymore
2) Nic Claxton with a triple double :o
3) Someone tell DAL that you can't play rookies
4) It'll never happen now...but I sure would've liked to see Nembhard in a Magic uni, next to his buddy Suggs
5) Suns are fun...
5) Derik Queen provin' em wrong...Happy for the kid, sucks to be the innocent part of a terrible deal

DET keeps winning. They have 3 more games before we meet. So do we...it'd be awesome if both teams came in on a win streak (they'd be at 14!!!) and then we roll into their town and smash them. That kind of big win would be like a catapult...hopefully, Paolo figures into this vision. Mose would look like a hero.

We need Paolo to come back against the Celtics so he can get some reps before the Pistons game.

Miami playing the fastest pace by far of any team, highest since those wild Denver teams from the early 90s. Can’t imagine that will last.

Headline: Chris Paul Announces He'll Retire Following This Season

...in a related story, every team in the league announces that they have no interest in signing CP3 anymore.

*That's not nice - helluva career. The Point God, resurrected his career and proved em wrong multiple times now. Best wishes.
