I was right there with you on the both of them.....So many on the board trashed talked Queen it was funny to me because i knew he would be good while everyone was loud and wrong about him, Everyone wanted Carter Bryant, Noa Essengue, Khaman Maluach....I liked CMB more than them 3 But me personally i would have picked both Queen/Coward before CMB.....But CMB still has time to show he was the right pick for us at 9 hopefully.

I stood on business calling Khaman overrated. He has barely played so who knows, but there was one dude saying he should be a top 3 pick because of his wingspan and catch radius

I feel bad for Pascal this season. He's balling out, maybe all star again, but they've won 2 games. Sad to have a wasted season at this stage of his career, and it's not like they'd trade him to a contender. He just has to wait a whole year for Hali to make them relevant again. Even then they'll have to replace Turner at the C

he's won a championship, made all star teams, made the finals last year and got his bag.

coward wasn't exactly an unknown quantity but he's also a senior so some of this was expected. cmb is 2 years younger and his offensive game is more developed than originally advertised.
queen will be interesting to follow.

I will admit if I'm wrong but I don't think Queen is starting 5 material on a winning team at the 5. Offensively gifted but defensively challenged. He needs the improve his 3pt shot also.

he hasn't played much in the NBA and he may never. who knows. people have said the same thing about passing Suggs at the time of the draft and look how that turned out.

It all depends what kind of team you have around him....Like it is for many other players in the NBA....If you are saying Queen will be the franchise player and the Jokic where he is the go to guy sure it might not work out....But any team would love to have a dynamic big man who can do so many things good on the court. Every player needs to be put in the right situation to succeed so it will be up to Dumars to build a team where Queens weaknesses won't be that big of a deal...

CMB as well imo is in a pretty bad situation atm to really Thrive with us and be the best he can be because he is on a team that really does not suit his strengths because he is always going to be playing behind Barnes in our rotation and he is way too small to ever be a C in the NBA....CMB Paired with Poetlt is also not a good combo for your big men if he were to ever start you would need a really tall stretch big that can rim protect to have CMB be in a successfull situation....So CMB is basically glued to the bench atm unless we make a Barnes trade to put him in a situation he can thrive in and actually be a starter.

Sim to Draymond....Put Draymond on any other team he is not nearly as impactfull if you take Curry/Klay away from him for his career.... Curry/Klay helped Draymond succeed....Thats why its a team sport because you need a team full of different styles of players to be a good team. Can't have a team full of defenders with limited offensive games because you will not win, Can't have a team full of offensive players and no defense because you will not win, You need a balance of all things in a combintion which Queen will fill a need for teams that lack a Dynamic playmaking big man that can get his own shot....If you have Queen you prolly need to pair him with a defensive specialst who is good at protecting the rim like a Bam from the Heat comes to mind as a really good pairing with Queen.

You bring good points but for a team like us he would struggle mightily on defense because he can't move his feet and wouldn't be able to switch. His defense really made me sour on him. However what you said about CMB is true, the overlap with Scottie is real but right now we can't worry about that, it's too early. Let see how he develops first.

I think CMB has the potential to be a small ball 4/5 next to Scottie against teams that don't have a 7'0+ guy that's 240+. Scottie can actually guard most bigs and CMB can in a pinch as well.

CMB actually being a stretch C&S threat is the key and already he's looked decent at it. He's an excellent passer on the roll as well.

I think Queen needs to be a 4 next to a dominant defensive big like Turner. He's obviously not in peak physical shape and is dominant offensively already in bursts. I'll give the defense time before I say there is no hope. People said the same thing about Jokic and Denver a top Defensive team
