The team hasn’t quit on the coach, that’s ridiculous.
The roster was fine last year when we were almost 100% healthy like the whole season… problem was the coach was playing 6-7 man rotations in November.
Tonight we didn’t have OG, Deuce, Shamet… and the dude Leon gifted the full tax MLE to is a no show every night, so we went back to playing 6-7 guys worth a damn tonight.

I could have sworn we were having the same exact conversations last year
it did get worse last year with the personnel changes. but mitch came back before the playoffs and it changed then. but they've seemed to regress even further in the regular season now. can they turn it on again when the playoffs come ? who knows. i don't think i trust mike brown to have the team prepared well on defense then.

How is that KAT quitting? Josh has talked about his role and minutes with Thibs too. I think you guys might be reading too much into things…
Mitch is 27 years old. But tonight he looked 37.JayTWill wrote:god shammgod wrote:JayTWill wrote:

I don't know. They looked like a team that was competing harder in the playoffs but they were still a team with many issues. They were very lucky to get out of the 1st round last year against the Pistons. Now younger teams like the Pistons and Magic have another year of experience heading toward their peaks while this Knicks core may have already peaked.
These guys aren't going to magically get better defensively past their athletic primes. They are just going to get slower and more broken down at this point no matter who the coach is. Someone like Hart has been declining defensively for a few years now. A younger version of Mitch may have had a better chance of guarding Wagner. Mitch is still strong as hell but doesn't move quite as well anymore.

does kat look like the same player from last year ? he's shooting the worst percentages of his entire career by far. worse than his rookie year.

they won't do that. and he definitely won't. why would you come back and take a job that you're already getting paid for not to show up to ?

Only thing ridiculous is your takes about this awful coach. He’s terrible. Our All NBA Bigman quit on him before the season even started and is now having the worst season of his career. You can see the other players quitting in this game which was embarrassing to see. We can’t play any defense. Look like a mediocre team despite the conference getting weaker we somehow got worse. Your coach did that
And the injury excuse doesn’t fly we have played teams game in game out who have been missing their key players. Orlando tonight was without Banchero and Mo Wagner. Cry me a river
And the irony that the coach who kept a short rotation did a better job keeping guys healthy than this guy

Why would anybody go back to the team that fired them? Also is Brown really the issue? This roster is flawed, lacks redundancy, size, and ball handling.

Something’s gotta give.
With that said the sky isn’t falling, there’s issues but you don’t have to blow up the team to correct them. I do wonder if a trade involving the lesser players can get us something to help with defense.
