PG: Bucks Fall to Pistons

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Today 3:25 am

I really like Wes. I figured it would take him awhile but he's pretty good right away.

Lisa with 7 seconds left in quarter: "Bucks will hold it for the last shot"

Novak is still a dork.

I don't believe in any anti Bucks conspiracy but the quality of officiating in the league is really really poor.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

We are venturing into the worst possible place a sporting franchise can be in. Hell, we might even be there already. The veteran head coach offers nothing and the roster isn't close to being where it needs to be (putting it nicely). Curious what ownership thinks of all this atm. Curious what the star player thinks of it all as well.

Our outside shooting remains very good and hey we didn't get dominated on the boards so that's a positive

Starters have played 9 minutes together. Assuming Giannis and KPJ return at the same time I'll give them 20 games to see what it looks like.

I was still more annoyed last Saturday when we were down by 30 at home to the Lakers on a night when they started Bronny James. We had Giannis that night.

There is no logical reason to allow Doc Rivers to continue coaching this team.

Seems like a common theme the last 3 years.

There was no logical reason to hire Doc Rivers.

Can they cut Cole and go get another PG. I'd even take Ben Simmons over Cole.

I agree.

And if Adrian Griffin could get fired for going 30-13.

How the hell does Doc get to keep his job for whatever this crap is?

I like this team better than last year with Dame. Quicker younger more fun to watch. When KPJ gets back, Trent gets out of his slump, Giannis heals, we will be better.

Nobody in the East has a chance against OKC this year.... So, It really doesn't matter.

The whole Yeah, but we were really good in those 9 games our starters played together argument is pretty trite at this point. It has been our rallying cry since around 2022.

I know that's not exactly what MD is saying here.

But it's along those same lines of what has been the Buck's theme the past few seasons.

I'll eat crow if KPJ magically changes things but this team has absolutely no identity, so far with or without Giannis. We got rid of the "old, slow, uninterested" defenders and this team has looked more disjointed and outmatched defensively than ever. There's no IQ, focus, intangibles, effort or edge to overcome being just outmatched at most spots without basically any of the versatility removing those dudes was supposed to open up. Everything you can say defensively you can basically just swap to the offensive side too.

Hat tip to Sims and Ajax. The defenses was expected, but what I really love was the passing. Ajax is finally functioning within the concepts of the offense. Combined for 9 assists, and numerous hockey assists.

If anyone has ever wondered What would an NBA team look like if they didn't have a coach?

Watch this current Bucks team and wonder no more.

This team literally just played a 53 minute game against the Sixers the other night and at no point in those 53 minutes did anyone realized that Tyrese Maxey is right handed. I am still really annoyed by that....lol.

I only want to know if Ryan Rollins continues to become a stud, that's the only thing I'm interested in knowing during these no giannis games.

We’re at maximum levels of cope if we’re seriously still doing the “just wait until KPJ gets back” stuff. Sorry guys, this defense was an abomination even with a healthy Giannis. The whole “going younger” thing only makes you better when you have actual talent and good coaching to build around. We have neither.

He might. Or we might be seeing the Johnny Newman effect. On a bad team someone has to score the points.

It's taken me far too long to realise that Horst finding these bargain basement guys is almost always because they have no basketball IQ and other coaches are sick of them/don't want them. Whatever the scheme, it's just baffling help D choices all day and you can't just simplify things because these guys are also outmatched one on one.
