We lost the soul of this team when I-Hart left and we traded away Divo.

So Shamet is probably done for the season if he reinjured that same shoulder. We will most likely apply for the injury exception so who do we pick up?

Injury exception? He’s making minimal money and he’s not guaranteed until January.

He’ll be waived and we’ll sign Garrison Matthews or something.

Last season on this day the Knicks bench was Sims, Payne, Dadiet and Kolek, and Mitch was out. The east was also tougher. So although the team was shaky last year, the coach was doing more with much less at this point.

1. Get OG back healthy (huge hole currently).
2. Shop KAT for best package (Giannis seems unrealistic though you never know).
3. Find a legit 3/4 back-up SF/PF 6'8 3&D wing, some how, some way. Even if it's to soak up 15 minutes.

Brown has been up and down. I'm not sure he's up to the task, but here's to hoping....

If kat plays better we will start winning more games if he doesn't well sht is going to get worse.

The real concern is our defense is just abysmal and I fail to see how we're going to contend.

Unless we believe that kat getting right is going to unlock our offense to such great heights.

I dunno but this sht isnt fun right now. And I feel too old to waste my free time with hobbies that piss me off yet here I aim.

That being said I thought the same of Randle except he seemed like a douche off the court too. Trade worked for me at the time cuz it got Randle outta here but now it's time to get KAT packing as well.

He's a bit moody, sometimes he's all in on the team but other times he's in his own world, and when he is, even if he realizes it, he can't seem to get himself out of the mental space. It's why the team's vibes are up and down, people get along fine, but it seems a lot of them could play on another team tomorrow and not care they get traded away.

This group of guys needs someone mentally tough like e.g. Draymond to snap them out of "too nice" mental funk and be the one that takes the heat from everybody so everybody can play loose. I thought PJ Tucker was valuable for us in the locker room, even if he didn't play a lot. Just him barking on the sidelines allowed the guys to be loose.

1: Thibs played multiple starters 40+ minutes several times in the first 15 games.. Brown isn’t doing that
2: Mitch has played 9 games out of 15… and only 17mpg.. Precious is playing more than that this season ..last season too
3: Brunson didnt miss 2 of those first 15 games last year
4: OG didn’t miss 3 of those first 15 games
5: You conveniently left Deuce off the list of bench players by being slick and saying “on this day” like that means anything.. nice try tho  he also chose not to play Precious when he could’ve who is better than Yabu..

Brown has a much deeper bench to begin the season so he does not need to have a short rotation. Still he's barely playing the kids unless he absolutely has to.
Mitch was out until game 59, Precious was out the beginning of the season until game 22.
Knicks were 6-2 last season when OG was out.
Last year when the whole bench was Dadiet,Kolek,Payne and Sims who was supposed to be getting more minutes that Brown is now playing?

Today they were without 1 starter in OG, another starter in Mitch plays limited minutes and Shamet played 3 minutes as a starter. Brunson, Clarkson, Hart, Mikal and KAT basically played starters minutes which is a worse 5 man unit than last year at this time. The lower minute guys were Mitch, Yabu, Diawara and Kolek. Mitch is better than lower minute guys from last year but that's it.

I'd rather have last year's group with OG at this time. It's too early for me to say how tough the east is at this point. No one knew the Cavs would sustain as the top team in the East or the Pistons would jump up near the Knicks level at this point last year.

I love Garry although Shamet is the better player, I think Garry could hit shots when we need him to and I think he'd brings good vibes for the team. Two players can hit a three pointer at the same point in a game, and one would receive so so response the other would fire up the whole team and the crowd. I think fans are more fired up when Garry hits a 3, than when SHamet does

Westbrook. Talk to them, they’re not going anywhere.

I just don’t like the construction of this team.
We are led by a GREAT but undersized and defensively weaker PG.
Our “Center” or Forward (KAT) is also great on offense but also weak on defense.
We have one great and one very good wing but the above two allows for avoiding the wings.
We are really missing OG though.
We can’t win a chip with that imo as the playoffs are about defense and we lack the bench for a 7 game series.

We HAVE TO trade KAT (or Brunson but of course not Brundon) to help fix the defense.

We are a very good team, nothing more. I hope I am wrong and the team comes together but we just don’t have the overall talent both ways.
