100% Boozer is a long shot.

And even if the Cs get Boozer, he's not a Center!

Boozer can play PF or C.

He's about 6'9", 245 lbs, 7'0" wingspan. Basically exact same measurements as Horford.

Boozer is pretty much the best rebounder in this draft too.

Guys who are 6'9" or taller *and* over 240 lbs can pretty much always play C..especially if they have a wingspan of 7'0" or taller. Not to mention being an elite rebounder and adequate shot blocker.

Don't disagree with you about Boozer's talent and the ability to maybe play Center, but come on, it's a very long shot.

Sure the Celtics can get under the luxury tax this season. But some here seem to feel that getting under that tax this season solves the repeater tax problem. They have to be under in 2 out of 4 seasons to get out of the repeater tax. How do you compete for championships and do this?
Brad Stevens on fans who want the Celtics to tank: "I don’t think they’ll like me all that much then."

Have to have young guys on cheap contracts or rookie contracts that contribute.
Some of Walsh,Queta, Minott, Scheierman, Garza might be part of the answer. Pritchard is a great example.
Being in the repeater tax is not a huge problem as long as you stay in the first two tiers. There is a big jump in the third tier. I think the Celtics are in a place to manage that with huge tax bills and still put a contender together.
Now resetting…they can get under the tax this year by shedding 12.1 million. They could do this pretty easily but probably have to give up at least a couple seconds.
Next year, if they draft in the teens and add two minimum guys. They still have about 11-12 million in room under the tax.
So it’s very doable, but some young guys have to step up. Walsh is really promising. I think Hugo as well. Queta is a clear solid rotation center and possibly a starter on a contender. I like Minott.
We still have a hole in need a big better than Garza. That’s where Brad will earn his money…finding that dude.

You're dont. If you want to reset the repeater tax then the window for championship contention would be the following 3 years after it's been reset.

We're not even sure the Cs want to reset the repeater or they're content to stay in the 1st apron.

This is what makes it difficult to speculate because we don't know what direction the Cs are headed when it comes to the salary cap.

Too late for this version of the Celtics. If you are going to do that then you move DWhite and Brown. Celtics have given no indication that they are doing that
