East is predictably as weak as it’s ever been. 2026 is a 2-horse race to the title between Thunder and Nuggets.

Aaron Gordon out 4-6 weeks with his injury. If I'm Denver, as long as we remain in the top 2-3 to avoid OKC until WCF, then I hold him out until say mid-January (10th or so). If he's not healthy for the playoffs, the title run is over before it got started.

I don't wanna say Durant is lying about a family matter, but it is highly suspicious that he's going to sit out the games in Phoenix and Golden State this week.

I hope the Hornets don't ruin him.

I agree with this. Cleveland will run away with the east and face OKC or Denver in the finals is my guess.

Jalen Williams officially not being able to get the Super Max is a very nice silver lining for OKC. If a guy is going to get injured, these are the circumstances you would want for it to happen.

Giving up a lot of 3's on good percentages while still being good defensively is unconventional these days but they're hunting turnovers and swarming the paint like no other team. Holding teams to 47% on 2's is an insane number.

Presti is doing great job, but man they lucked out on some things. This will save them quite a bit of money, maybe even allow to keep both Dort and Hartenstein beyond this season... I thought they will have to start using picks to replace some of the key guys that earn "bit more" but i guess not. Holmgren will also not get any award bcs of injuries.

Yeah, it's more likely than not that Jalen Williams would have made an All-NBA team again this year if he played enough games. Presti is the best in the business but catching every break possible helps too.

I'm sure this has been discussed, right? Surely.

Did the OKC player get a T for faking it?

Suggestion: We should have a separate thread for these types of player foul baiting.

Name and shame them.

With how well Edey, Sarr, Sheppard, Castle, Ware, Mitchell, Kyshawn, Clingan, Buzelis, Shead, Da Silva, Larsson, and company are looking, how long until the media admits they may have jumped the gun on the 2024 draft?

Some of these dudes are going to make the all-star team one day and it may be the bigs.

I mean we aren’t going to stop having Takes even if we get these lessons over and over. Just look at how differently the 2021 class is ranked now versus a couple years ago.

The Thunders would get the 8th, 9th, and 13th picks in next year's Draft if it went chalk.

EDIT: However, the league will be sure Utah and Philly don't convey their picks. Only the Clippers pick (8th) is unprotected.

EDIT2: They also have HOU's, so it would be the 8th, 9th, 13th, and 26th.
