If he was on Houston like Sengun things would be different.

I always find such comments interesting. The same could be said about everyone on the Raptors. Like if you play with Jokic, SGA or Luka your team is probably going to win so guys who get drafted on those teams immediately become winning players. The fact is all players were likely playing on winning collage programs to get drafted. So the whole who is a winning player not a winning player is kind of just looking at hindsight. I think Chris Paul is a winning player but he never won a chip. I thought Gary Payton was a winning player but he didn’t win till he hop on a championship wagon.

Call me Crazy, but I would ask Chris Paul if he wanted to Join the Raptors as a Mentor / Emergency Point Guard.

Raptors get:
Day'Ron Sharpe
Chris Paul

Nets get:
Ochai Agbaji
Kobe Brown (clippers declined his 4th year option)
Raptors SRP
Raptors SRP
Nets SRP

Clippers get:
Garrett Temple (waived, and returns to the Raptors as a coach/front office role)

Well, we don’t really need an emergency point guard since we got Hepburn. Day'Ron Sharpe for Ochai sounds good, but don’t know how Nets think. Plus, Sharpe is a bit short for my liking. Some 7 footer in a buyout market might be more likely.

The way we are playing and the chemistry they have, it is difficult to break it and improve the team drastically.

All those who want to trade Barrett should read this article.

All we do is harp on his defense. Let's have some patience. Maybe with increased time with the other starters, it hasn't been that many games, maybe his team defense will improve too.

I've been saying this for a while, RJ is Demar 2.0 for us. He seems like a guy that is gradually flourishing. Only question is some has to go if we make a big trade. I guess it could be Barnes, but I think you keep the guy that anchors your defense. I think if you can re-up Barrett at around 20-25 million a season you do it. I definitely wouldn't trade him with concerns of him leaving as a FA. I think he is one of those guys we can wait to see what the market dictates.

Just for once I’d like to see Raptors do this.

I like RJ a lot but I don’t think he gets more than $20 on open market.

If you ignore the advanced stats that point to guys like Scottie or Shead being winning players, general lineups +/- and the record of the team as of this season, sure.

Sengun can play defense. And frankly, if the Kings had him instead of Sabonis, they'd be a better team.

I use to think that about Jokic. I'd have to watch Sabonis versus guys like Wemby, Embiid and other giants. I don't think he can handle them to lead his team to wins against those types.

What about Serge Ibaka? He played the last couple of years with Real Madrid. He's used to playing 30 games and 13-15 mins now. Maybe some time in January sign him to play half a season? Would be a good 3rd C.

We need a center but another back up guard would make IQ off ball and much better. We got a glimpse of that today. I could see us starting Shead if RJ misses sometime but that leaves the back up PG spot up for grabs. Shead is really good at setting the table for guys like Mamu and IQ, which helps our offenses ability to generate 3pt shots. This could be something that makes the team elite. If we had RJ in, instead of Shead I don't feel like we close out the game against the Nets as well.

I'd love to pick up Norm. I'd much rather play him over Dick. He'd be dynamic with the second unit.

Of course you would rather play a 25 ppg player over Dick.

Markannen might be the guy. A stretch 7 footer would be insane for our forwards to play with.

I would guess it takes 2 of IQ, RJ and Poeltl just because of how the cap is.

IQ or Poeltl, RJ, Agbaji and 2 firsts to a third team and Markannen and Kessler to Toronto.

Poeltl / Kessler
Markkanen / Mamu
Barnes / CMB / Battle
Ingram / Dick / Agbaji
Shead / Walter / Hepburn

We get bigger with size and more shooting.

More like all picks to even start a convo about Laurie, let alone Kessler

lauri doesn't make sense as he's a PF as is Scottie
if u get Lauri you need to change the entire dynamics of the team including trading Scottie

assuming raps are happy with Ingram and Scottie at the 3/4 spot then you need to do something about the 1/2 spot long-term

That's insane value for someone who hasn't sniffed a playoff game in his entire career.

Caleb Martin is another guy would look at. Makes 10M but value his probably in the crapper. Maybe we can get lively along with him in some trade package towards the deadline

Norm is going to ask for 30m/ 3+ years when he is 33. Dick is probably looking at 15m range.
