He has been playing very well. And so has Miami as a team. Spoelstra is a sorcerer.

All that said, when we contemplate comparing Ware to Sarr, it's worth mentioning that Ware is a full year older.

I'm greedy, I am picturing both Alex and Kel'el on this Wizards this season.

You can't assume that a player drafted by the Lakers, Spurs, or Heat would develop at the same level if that same player were drafted by the Wizards. The Wizards don't have a track record of turning mid to low picks into stars like those franchises do. So I can't assume Ware would be as good if he were playing for this team. That's why I don't lose sleep over a player like Castle, for example. He simply would not be that good here.

Right. Sarr as well. Respectfully we don’t know what the track record of this new regime will be. So far we have 3 who broke out under Keefe. If you include the 2nd half of the season with that Israeli kid.

Granted we got no Coach Spo. So. That part of the point stands. Personally I think Castle would’ve been fine here. Him and Ware were my choices at those picks. The Clingan Castle chemistry suggests Ware would have plugged in well next to him.

With Stephon on board then we’d’ve hired UConn’s coach when we were ready to win.

I’m fine with Sarr. Just aware of the road not traveled. Oh well.

Top 3 EC teams currently are:
DET
TOR
MIA

It's early. I guess DET isn't really a big surprise.

Miami is absolutely fascinating to watch. They totally changed their offense so that they look like no other NBA team. The almost never run pick-and-roll. It's just an endless parade of drive-and-kick, kinda like what Duke does a lot when they have strong guards. It's like Miami decided not to involve their big men in the actions because it just brings the opposition's big man in to defend the actions. Instead, they park their bigs in the corners and have them shoot 3's.

Bam Adebayo, for example, now has 36% of his shot attempts (6.2 per 36 minutes) coming from 3-point range, and half of them are corner 3's. Two years ago, he attempted 0.6 3PA's per game and only 16% of those were from the corner. Same thing with Ware.

Nobody has really figured out how to defend this offense yet. Miami really doesn't have elite talent, but they are 12-6.

Haven’t watched the Heat this year but that sounds like Calipari’s Dribble Drive Motion with a three point twist. Clever.

Good night for the tank. Dallas, Indy and Charlotte win. Phoenix loses.

Ryan Nembhart looks like a real player. He is only 5'-11" but he fights hard on defense. He may never be a playoff guy due to his size, but he can definitely help a team in the regular season - a team like us, for example. I'd definitely look to acquire him from Dallas after Kyrie gets back.

Collin Gillespie in the game against the Lakers: 28/4/5 with 2 STLs, 8/14 from 3. He's ruining the Wizards draft odds.

Nemhard is an anti-Bub pick. He came into the league as a 4-year winner, 22 years old, out of Gonzaga.

The Wizards should draft Braden Smith from Purdue. He has a very high floor.

There's nothing else to cheer about with this team, so at least I'll note that it was a good night for the tank.

The Hornets beat Toronto. They're now 7-16.
The Pacers beat the Bulls. They're now 5-18.

And the Suns lost to Houston. They're now 13-10

The tanking standings look like this:

NOP 3-20
WAS 3-18
IND 5-18
SAC 5-17
BRK 5-17
LAC 6-17
CHA 7-16
DAL 8-16
UTA 8-14

And remember, neither New Orleans nor the Clippers control their pick so they have no reason to intentionally tank. I figure they will probably steal a few wins late in the season while playing other tanking opponents.

The other good news is that Memphis has gotten its act together and gone 6-2 in the last 8 games and presumably will no longer have any thoughts about tanking. Likewise, Dallas is playing much better with Nembhard at PG and won 3 in a row before losing last night to OKC. I don't think they'll tank either.

The 2015-16 Warrior’s hold the record for most wins in a season, 73, OKC could beat this record if they escape any major injuries, or if they start resting players later in the season.

Dumars is in a world of hurt, ATL is going to get their badly needed lottery pick next-year, they never expected to be rebuilding, but now they are.
