Didn't most people think Queen's offense was way more likely to transfer to the NBA but it was his defense that people were worried about.

Is there no one available at 6'10 plus that can be scooped from the g league

We need an actual NBA player. We've had scrubs and by now, should be clear that they are not what we need.

Yep and don't need so many backup SG's. Especially since it looks like we got a good thing going with Shead and IQ in the same lineup; even further limiting available minutes at 2 when healthy.

Well, Koloko is officially waived now. So...where's the Koloko crew??

Probably Ochai and Mogbo for Goga.

I think if that's all it took, I think it would be done already. An expiring Ochai and a guy who's riding the bench doesn't have much value.

I'm not convinced it's as important as others seem to think....but assuming that it is.....what about Brook Lopez? The clippers are in big trouble. Oldest team in the league without their next 4 FRPs.

So one of our bench guards for him? He seems to be the kind of guy who could contribute to a winning team. Injury insurance. Stretch big. Veteran leadership. Signed for this year and next. Good locker room guy. Seems like an ideal fit no? Could we get him for Mogbo and Ochai? The clippers get younger at least....

Not someone who would help us right now obviously but a post-hype guy we could acquire an try to develop: Balša Koprivica.

He's 25 now but was intriguing to some on this board as a college player with Florida State, where he was on the team with Scottie. His NBA rights belong to the Jazz, and he's currently playing overseas in the BSL (a high level Euro League) on a 1-year contract. Oh, and he's Serbian, albeit with no connection to Darko :D

At 7’1, 240-pounds, the Serbian’s greatest strength is his massive size…His length provides him easy opportunities near the rim, even more so when guards and forwards switch onto him…Koprivica is a great shot blocker, using both his long wingspan and solid timing to reject 1.4 shots per game…Plays within the flow of the offense, and sticks to taking shots that are in his range…Is a dangerous pick and roll threat, as his initial defender has to stay on him…This can open up space for the ball handler, or allow Koprivica an easy lane to the rim…He has the size and smarts to be a dangerous rebounder, particularly on the offensive glass…Runs well, and always hustles in transition…He shouldn’t guard the perimeter often, but his wingspan and quickness help give him a chance in space against smaller players…Can defend the pick and roll well because of his long arms…Can drop back to cover his man while still impacting the shot quality of the ball handler…There aren’t many people that can move like he can at his size…Should impact the game due to his length and strength on both ends of the court.

I'd take him back on a non-guaranteed deal at the minimum.

IDK how that impacts the tax though.

Koloko was so weak and off balance physically but some of the most impressive perimeter defense I’ve seen for a guy his height. Certainly works as a cheap 3rd string big if we can’t find a veteran guy (my preference).

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

My targets are James Wiseman, Bol Bol, Mo Bamba and Hasheem Thabeet if we want a solid vet.

Poeltl is so valuable for us, but I just wish he could have a mid-range shot and hit his free throws.

We were so fortunate that from 2014-2020 we had so much talent and depth at the point guard and center position.

2013-2015 - Lowry/Vasquez and JV/Amir
2016 - Lowry/Cojo and JV/Biyombo
2017-2019 - Lowry/Fred and JV/Ibaka
2019-2020 - Lowry/Fred and Gasol/Ibaka

Before the trades, the last couple years it was basically Shroeder/Mitchell and Poeltl, lol.

It'd be unfortunate if middle school-esque politics has us miss out on this easy layup
