Yeah Mark is way too much. Raps just don't do those types of deals nor should they. I could see us just moving around the edges this year to try and help this team come playoff time but without destroying its identity, culture, or future picks. Something like:

Ochai and Dick for Lopez and Paul

Clips get an infusion of youth they really need. Raps get veteran playable depth.

IQ Shead Paul
RJ Walter
Ingram Battle
Barnes CMB
Yak Mamu Lopez

That's a deep team that can withstand some injuries thru the regular season and has adaptability to alter things vs different opponents.

We could go to a 2 guard lineup if we want at times thru a game knowing you have Paul there to play with next unit.

Or have an extra big in Lopez who can space the floor but also offer rim protection.

Etc...

Given how Ochai and Gradey can be replaced within on what they do, adding a Paul and Lopez offer a more rounded rotation.

Just a thought.

Do we have a 2 way/905 spot left to bring in Koloko? Is he even an upgrade on Sarr at this point?

I dont about a 2 way, but we have a straight up roster up and I'd love to bring him back

If you want more, then send them our 2026 2nd pic for their 2nd in 2027?

If we're calling Dallas, why not Lively? He seems to have fallen out of favor and their fans seem to focus on him not being the second coming of wilt more than appreciating what he is.

Yeah, that would be a very short-sighted move. Ideally, you want to hold onto Dick for a really long time to get the most out of him.

Paul and Lopez are more likely to end up playing in the Big 3 league than being productive bench players for us.

it's funny, even last year, Dallas would say no, but he had a lot of injuries
concerns that he's not built to play a full regular season

bit of risk offering gradey dick for lively

I can see a scenario where they take the 2026 pick for Lively, but with him injured on the year, i dunno why we would. Still think they'd have zero interest in a Lively-Dick swap as Dick isnt better than the current wings they have.

I would guess it takes 2 of IQ, RJ and Poeltl just because of how the cap is.

IQ or Poeltl, RJ, Agbaji and 2 firsts to a third team and Markannen and Kessler to Toronto.

Poeltl / Kessler
Markkanen / Mamu
Barnes / CMB / Battle
Ingram / Dick / Agbaji
Shead / Walter / Hepburn

We get bigger with size and more shooting.

Congratulation to Danny Ainge for ensuring Lauri Markkanen will be a Utah lifer and waste his career away on a non-playoff team.

I had a thought.... The 6ers suck.... And I think at some point this season they'll start cashing in their chips

What about snatching Drummond as a backup 5? I know he sucks defensively, but he's still a bully low and is still an elite rebounder

That was hands down the worst trade I've seen on the board. 2 old bums for young rotation talent that's shown more than enough promise? Weird.

Bitadze for Mogbo and Agbaji is the only trade I can think of right now that makes us better in the short term.

Poeltl / Bitadze
Barnes / Mamu
Ingram / CMB
RJ / Dick / Walter
IQ / Shead

I don't feel like it's much a difference maker. Bitadze would likely be a 3rd stringer for us too, probably more valuable if anything. I think Mogbo has some use cases on our team with CMB and Mamu, but he hasn't been utilized since Walter/Gradey/Agbaji/CMB all come before him.

This probably pushes us into the 50 win team that can really do much in the playoffs territory.

We don't talk enough about how much Ainge has f$cked up this rebuild.

Missed on the Cody Williams pick, missed on the Cavs/Wolves picks, missed on selling Lauri high, Keyonte George is too inconsistent and you're hoping a Suns pick in 5 years will save you. The best player they got out of it was Lauri and Kessler, neither of whom should be a team's best player.

It’s not too bad of a trade and I get the logic behind. Brooks stats might look like crap but that’s cause he isn’t getting minutes. He can be a good depth veteran piece. Paul likewise can still play quality minutes. Really depends how high you are on Dick. I think he can be a 15-18 ppg guy, but not sure his game goes beyond that. Ochai is not a significant piece one way or the other pretty replaceable in my mind.
