With Scottie playing more and more like a 5…. Why not just keep starting Mamu and his 40+% 3pt shot to open up the paint?

Because it doesnt work. You need a C to take the beating, neither Scottie or Mamu can do it for a longer period of time. This is the reason we need a Backup C.
