They gave him the nod to start since a few guys were out. That Magic defense put the clamps on that boy.

1) It is very revealing of incoherent posting. Some posters seem like they just want to take a dump on this team whenever possible. Apparently, the sinkhole is too small.
2) Ingram is a very nice player. Like DeRozan, it sure would be awesome to have him too. Neither gives you much - if anything - on defense, nor have they ever really proven much in terms of their ability to affect winning.
3) In consequence, if posters were really serious about pairing Ingram with Brunson, logically, he’d have to replace Towns, not Bridges, due to the defensive deficiencies. Towns is much better than Ingram though, but of course they don’t want to hear it.
4) Posters that come up with such talk will then deflect, saying something like, “Well, not Ingram then, but someone like him, a shot-creator with a real bag.” They don’t even realize it, but what they mean, of course, is a good defender with better offensive game than Bridges (who’s been great for us), and also a better defender than Towns (or Ingram himself, consequently), but comparably dominant on offense. Well, you won’t find such player around the league.
Then Towns for Giannis it is.
Wait, I'm sorry. This Knicks team is dominant, clearly on a path for one of the best 3 records in the NBA, and a clear finals favorite as currently constructed. No need for any improvement.

Grimes is very good though. What’s happening here, however, is that every good game by an ex-Knick is hyped up because of some agenda. I’d absolutely love to still have Grimes too, but in reality, we’ve moved on and he’d likely be a (very good) bench piece for us. He’s averaging 16 ppg, despite a very green light on a lowly 76ers team.

Dude, you’re not wrong. This team would dominate the league if Towns defended like Giannis or Mobley. And he sure doesn’t. I’d trade him for either player.
Trade Towns for Adebayo though, and this team suddenly lacks shooting, rebounding and size. Same with JJJ. Towns is an elite shooter. Trade him for Lauri, and it’s a wash at best - Lauri is averaging 6 rpg and that matters too. AD is always hurt and Towns is a much better shooter - that’s a downgrade imo. You’re never getting a Banchero or Holmgren or Sengun, and, more importantly, there was never a point in time where all of our picks plus Randle could have netted us such a high-profile up-and-coming guy. At this moment, I think it’s debatable if Banchero and Holmgren are even better than towns already. Sengun certainly is, but he’s a lousy defender, too. Doesn’t matter. Bottom-line, like it or not, we have Bridges and Towns, and objectively, they’re very good players.

I think Vecsey (I could be wrong, could be another source) said the Thunder will seriously consider trading IHart next offseason as huge as he's been for them because they don't want to pay heavy tax ... I'd trade KAT for both him and Divo in multi team trades !!!

Surely they will do something, because they aren't going to pick 4 guys in next year's draft or whatever it is, or 6 players in the next two drafts.
I figure they make two moves, one to upgrade Dort and maybe another to upgrade their bench.
OKC is going to operate like they are in championship window, and while it's Presti and they'll always horde picks, I see some combination of picking a couple of guys, using a couple to upgrade the starting lineup and maybe trading a pick or two over the next two years for future picks.
They should make a play for Giannis; I just don't think they could match salary.
iHart/Dort/Caruso and 4 picks? Haven't looked to see if it's possible $ wise

Yes, and that is very dangerous. They can do pretty much any deal they like. It’s insane.

I would be willing to roll the dice with four OGs and à Brunson. Plus a backup OG or two, cause of injuries and stuff.

I was going to say the same. I’d trade all our players for another OG.

OKC is like what I usually make the knicks in Franchise mode on NBA2k by cheating in the draft and forcing trades etc
Would end up with the best team full of young studs and still have a ton of future picks
