Boston takes Klay since it’s a two year versus three year deal. An easier contract to move next season with minor assets for minor help. Or a bigger move. Whatever. Plays ten day contract game at deadline to duck the tax the rest of the way.

Brooklyn gets off Mann’s future money completely.

Dallas takes on the extra year of Mann to hopefully upgrade the 2026-2027 rotation a bit? The 1.2 mil this season is pretty minor, but if they end up aiming to duck the tax this season - every bit will help.

My gut tells me that Charlotte won’t do anything that will affect their draft position at the moment. Maybe in the offseason

Could Memphis go for Sabonis to pair with JJJ and do a soft tank since he is likely to miss a bunch of time? I've seen Ja for Sabonis, that seems less likely to me, I think Ja is just totally toxic and untradeable right now...but maybe something like KCP+Clarke+Edey+a first?

I think that Edey is one of the few keepers on that team. With the way both he and Sabonis have been playing, I'm not sure that I do a one for one swap.

PJ cant be traded this season due to the extension, and Dal shouldnt. He's not some superstar, but he very well may be the team's heart and soul. He sets the tone defensively, stands up for teammates in scuffles, and just has that swag every team needs

But would love to get our pick back for OG, and one of Cooper's buddies in Liam or Sion.

I really like this. Gets LAL some defenders, gets Philly a 1st. Not sure who the Rui team is, but I bet they can be found? But a direct trade may also make sense - either Rui, or Vincent + Kleber.

Not sure it makes sense for LA to send Rui for some seconds just so they can send a first for Philly players. Lakers have other expirings to use.

Finacially lakers can’t afford grimes next season at his current contract demands.

Trade wise would rather wait till the summer when lakers have multiple picks to trade. They can find long term fits then.
