I'm of the opinion Dodgers were very lucky to beat Jays. So they may be thinking the same and tempted to basically run it back. But they'd be passing up opportunity here. I'd be in favour of getting both Tucker and Bichette.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I think the Jays absolutely beat themselves in the last 2 games. Many more chances to win game 7 than the Dodgers had, the difference is the Jays blew all their chances to finish with a win while Dodgers took advantage of theirs.

If they run it back it's most likely more to do with the fact that they just don't want to spend much more t this point.

Max Scherzer Tells All: Toronto, Free Agency, ALCS Drama & the Leafs | TLN Exclusive

The Leafs Nation

November 26, 2025

Max Scherzer sits down with Nick Alberga and Jay Rosehill for an intense, wide-ranging interview on Leafs Morning Take.

The three-time Cy Young winner opens up about his season in Toronto — what it was really like playing in this market, how the pressure compares to everywhere else he’s been, and why the city hit differently. Scherzer gives an inside look at free agency, including whether there’s a real chance he re-signs with the Blue Jays and if he feels there’s unfinished business here.

He also breaks down, in vivid detail, his infamous ALCS showdown with John Schneider. For the first time, Scherzer shares new insights into what sparked it, how it played out behind the scenes, and the fallout from that moment.

And because this is Leafs Morning Take, the boys tie plenty of it back to the Leafs. Scherzer talks killer instinct, character, leadership, and the mindset needed to thrive in a demanding market. He even dives into how athletes mentally reset after heartbreaking losses — including his perspective from being inside the building for the Leafs’ Game 7 loss to Florida last spring.

Yeah there is no way. I wouldn’t trade Yesavage for anyone short of franchise level players (Judge, Ohtani, Skenes, Skubal, Raleigh).

People will look at Ceases era and say overpay but the underlying metrics say a different story.

I've had cease for like 4 years in a row for fantasy. It's all about walks. This last year was rough because he walked a lot.

Dude strikes people out though.

Cease is the best starter on the market so this is a huge move by the Jays. I wouldn't take his ERA seriously. The FIP tells a different story. The Jays have a great defense so between that and Cease's stuff/strike out ability, I think he's closer to a 3.00-3.50 ERA starter next season. Only thing I don't like is 7 years, but overpaying in years is a necessity in MLB free agency.

Lots of Japanese pitching available this offseason.

He may end up with the Padres,Giants,or Dbacks.
We,ll see what happens.

Dylan Cease is elite. A bit nervous about how many walks he surrenders, though.
