Excellent game from Shai tonight, after being questionable due to illness. 40/6/6 + 3 steals on 63/50/88 shooting and a big steal in the clutch on Ant in a win that takes them to a double digit streak.

That gap to Jokic staying slim with this level of play.

How does Shai only have 13% of the vote? This place is loco.

I'm a hater with multiple certificates, I cary it with pride and joy (less joy though because 18-1), I also acknowlege the insane season Jokic had last year and this one, but mastering perfection like SGA has is the definition of MVP, you can't improve perfect.
He still sucks and I'm still a hater.
Defense wins draft lotteries!
Fortune favours the bold, so it ducked Nico Harrison.

18-1 record, 34.0 PER, 14.0 BPM, +14 on/off - this is indeed insane. Shai is on his way to the Jordan-esque season, at least after ~25% of the regular season.

Shai upping his counting stats and FT rate with Luka on his heels. Cute.

Never seen Shai stopped since he began his run. Shai is the terminator. He just keeps coming. Jokic is great but he's no Shai. Dude won the chip in a weak year back in 2023 and hasn't done anything since. The only thing Jokic does better is passing and even that was stopped last year.

Shai is doing something not even prime Lebron, Jordan or Curry did. Which is carry a 70 win team without its second option. If he can pull it off, he is on pace to becoming a top 5 player all time. Possibly the GOAT if Wemby doesn't get in his way. Jokic and everyone else in shambles.

I doubt Luka makes it to 65 games with league leading usage and third highest mpg. I would have expected a slight dip with Lebron's return and Reaves having shown he can carry the offensive load from time to time, but Luka's usage and mpg slightly tipped up for the 3 Lebron games.

There is an enormous difference in supporting casts between the two players

Lol even without that second best player currently playing OKC still has the deepest team in the entire NBA. SGA certainly is the front runner for MVP but your post are over the top lol! Goat? Are you trolling? Green font missing?

With or without James Luka is carrying that team.

Embiid never approached this level, and last year, while Jokic fans cried about it, it was consensus SGA is the MVP, Embiid was never a consensus MVP.

Luka is their best player, but carrying is kinda crazy when Austin is playing like a legit top 15 player
