OT: T Mac 2.0 in FIBA

THis game was crazy, tho Lithuania looked dreadful in the first half, trailing by 18 at one point. Serbia had similar game, came back from minus 23 to beat Swiss. Italy lost to Iceland and that was surprise of the night.

PS. THis game was in London, but most of the crowd was just Lithuanian fans.

When Tmac shoots it looks easier, whereas when Ignas shot it looked like a struggle...
Probably because Ignas is only 6 foot 5, whereas Tmac is 6 foot 8 and moves smoother than Ignas too.

Well , I love TMac, however - levels better? Mathematically, scoring 9 points in 9 seconds is more difficult than 13 points in 33 seconds. Actually, way more difficult. So to say it was levels better... Nah.

Both sequences are amazing and happens once in a very long time.

FIBA windows favor lesser teams and upsets not only because best players from NBA and EL can't play, but also because teams have no chemistry, cohesion, prep time etc. Lithuania looked awful for the most of the game, but at the end, the lack of quality on Great Britains part showed up.

I was watching this game, if it was NBA or EL game I would have had zero faith at a come back, but here, when Sargiūnas strated making these 3s, I still had some faith left, because they were about to press Great Britain, GB is not Spurs or Monaco or Serbia, I had some faith they can make them turn it over and thats what happened.

I think first two Ignas shots were great, little luck involved, while having no time on his side, he still placed his feet well, was not off balanced, these first two shots looked good. The last shot was were luck was definitely involved. I feel T-Mac needed more luck on his sequence, his shots looked a bit more forced, of course it is also about level of competition, but I didn't think it looked like Ignas struggled shooting there, I mean last shot was fluke shot, but he was also hot at that moment.

Yes, I know, but most don't, and most of them really can't. Few clubs allow it, Ataman skipping EL round and bringing his two Turkish guys from a team during EL season is very rare, he can do it cause he is Ataman. Also, not always we get FIBA window where EL and FIBA games aren't happening same exact time, this is rare occasion where we do not have any EL games on Thursday and Friday and even then just a few EL players are playing in this FIBA window.

TMac was also being guarded by one of the best, if not the best wing defender during the time. They were highly contested and very difficult shots.

This Lithuania one was awesome and amazing, but it felt more like the other team fell asleep at the wheel, whereas TMac basically made it happen.

Either way, it can definitely be called a TMac 2.0 because it was still amazing by one player.

People in Lithuania compare him to MAcijauskas all the time, but its more for Ignas' ballsyness. Ignas is already 26 so obvious he is not new MAcijauskas, MAcijauskas was one of the bigger European Basketball stars by age 24, he basically started falling apart by age 26 due to injuries, very short career, but still one of the most memorable players from the 2000s. But for one game like that, that was MAcijauskas basically.
