Has Evan Mobley lived up to the hype?
His numbers seem to be the same, more or less, every season. He is now 24.
So has he lived up to his hype? What did people actually think he would become?

Impact wise I think he has. Perennial DPOY contender, scores ~18ppg efficiently, can stretch the floor (37% from deep)

Not sure but somehow the Cavs still need more from him.
Won DPOY and was runner up to the runner up of DPOY another time. So that's cool but Mitchell has no sidekick. Garland has only played a couple games this season because of the toe surgery. Allen is week to week with his broken finger and been in and out.
Mobley and Mitchell make the same amount of money per season, Mobley has to take that jump.

A few more points would be nice. On overall two way impact he has mostly lived up to what people expected.

About as good as people thought he would be. Not every top 3 pick becomes a 30/10/10 superstar

Yes. He’s the modern Pau Gasol.
Very skilled, 2-way player, team player, doesn’t quite have the dog in him to be a true #1.

Re: Has Evan Mobley lived up to the hype?
I remember posters on here saying he could be Tim Duncan with a three point shot
so to those people probably not. He's pretty good though

Yeah those posters were beyond stupid.
In an age where it is absurdly easy to score 20 ppg, he still can’t even manage that.

I blame bill Simmons and his analytic nerd friends.
They were hyping him up as the next Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett, when he’s really more like bam adebayo.

Toronto Chris Bosch was better on offense. Was a go-to player. They do have similarities with their body type and some of their ability though.

Bosh wasnt a real go to player though. 2nd, 3rd string. Toronto had a deep team with a bunch of offensive contributors

Needs to learn to foul bait.
Grab a nearby defender then pretend to shoot and collapse to the ground. If you can’t grab one just throw your body into them.
Could average 4-5 more points per game if he did that.

No Jalen Duren is now the shining new toy in the East.
He's the Scottie Barnes of last year, forgotten and middling production

Not really. Still a very good player though.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

? lol what. He was the undisputed go to player for the raptors. I think you're remembering the Heat Bosh, who was the 3rd option on Miami.
