Sarr's development this year is mostly due to Transparent Labs!

He ain't said nothing that wasn't obvious....
Dude was 19 and physically needed a lot of development, and his skill set was thought to be incredibly basic....
Turns out he had way more skills than his predraft ever discussed.....
Dribbling, playmaking and shooting 3's were not prominent focuses of his scouting report....
His main selling point was his elite defensive potential...
I think his ceiling has really jumped up with his development progress in just one year....
We finally got some good luck, with a guy we usually wouldn't have gotten because Atlanta would've drafted him...
Thank you Hawks for being idiots.... Appreciate the gift....

The Hawks fans must be so pissed to see the 2,3, and 4 picks playing well.

Great video. Watched the whole thing. I vaguely remember seeing similar videos on Sarr last year where they ticked off all the various ways he was soft. So much has changed this year. Gives you some hope for the Wiz going forward that's not tied to the ridiculous, cheating lottery balls.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

When this dude coming back? He went from “not out long,” to DNPs for over two weeks. Only reason to watch this team is Sarr, without him it’s “watch CJ McCollum and the Washington wizards take on [insert star player] on [much better team].”

When Sarr playing at least he’s shown as the big ticket wizard.

Yeah, I was hoping they were being overly-cautious when he missed the Hawks game. I figured they were trying to get him to the Mid-season Tournament Break where he would get a few extra days to heal, and then he would play afterwards. I was very disappointed that he wasn't available for the Cavs game.

Adductor/groin strain sounds tricky.

I don't have a good feeling about Sarr. He gets injured alot , and misses a good share of games. To me, it's never a good sign when a young player is getting injured as often as he is.

Spoiler:
This is just in the past year.

Dec 1–13, 2025 Right Adductor/Thigh Recurring soreness; multiple games missed
Nov 18–22, 2025 Toe Short absence
Feb, Jan–Feb 2025 Ankle injuries Multiple ankle strains/sprains
Summer 2025 Calf Missed rest of EuroBasket

Being an NBA player is not just about getting good; it's also about being available. I also don't like that he's constantly picking himself up from the ground. It means he's not playing with good contact balance. Core strength.

I believe there has been staff turnover over the last decade or so, and I don’t believe Alex had any pre draft injury concerns, sometimes you don’t know how a player is going to hold-up until they go-through battle testing in NBA games. OTOH, I would have passed on Tre because he had hip issues in his one year in college hoops, and the Wiz took him anyway.

I'm not a doctor but for super tall, super muscular, super athletic people, my main concern is injuries to load bearing joints - facia, ankles, knees, lower back. Those are the kinds of injuries where getting one is an indicator of underlying structural weakess - which is the default, all these athletes are physical outliers, we didn't evolve to carry this much weight and move it around this fast. Groin strains, hip issues - that's just bad training/bad luck. Yes, an athlete on a team with a competent medical staff should *never* pull a groin. But it's not *necessarily* an indicator of a chronic problem.

They are just being cautious. Sarr hasn't suffered any long term injury and hasn't had a previous injury history. Its just not realistic to expect guys to play 82 games anymore. Those that do are outliers or like Bub, avoid the paint altogether.

Supplements tend to have a lot of sugar in them. I hope Sarr has a chef cooking him meals from scratch

I seriously doubt he is taking those supplements. Most
of that ish is useless garbage. The makers don't need
actual evidence that their claims are true.
