Spent 3 hours building my new PC, running and banding all the cables.

Power supply is DOA. The 4th time in 5 builds this has happened to me.

That absolutely sucks. You'd think they'd be one of the easier parts to confirm they work before shipping out the door, but I've had exactly the same experience in the past of the PSU being the one thing that's dead (and it's kind of an important part!).

Where Winds Meet is great fun. So much to uncover.

Caved on Black Friday and picked up a 34" curved monitor.

I typically go EVGA for power supplies but went MSI this last one. 4/5 DOA would kill me.

Oh really? That’s terrible. I still have the power supply I bought in 2020 for one of my older builds, which I gave to my brother. My newer build, which I bought in 2022, is still going strong. Did you purchase a Gold-rated power supply or higher?

PSUs being terrible or bricked right out the box happens way too frequently to what is an essential part in all builds. You're taking like a 95% chance that your PSU will work when you buy it, which doesn't sound like much but is an awful rate for what is an expensive finished product.

Haven’t played PoE or PoE2 since January. Heard there’s a new PoE2 update coming soon so will probably play some leading up to the release to reacquaint myself.

I'm 26 hours into Arc Raiders and I'm still having a blast. I nearly have all my workshops upgraded to the max level, maxed out Scrappy, and now I'm starting to focus on quests and trials while sprinkling in some loot runs. Sometimes I decide to go full PvP on Blue Gate which is always fun. I've met more people that I play with regularly than I ever have in any game since the old days on Xbox 360. Easily my GotY, even ahead of CO:E33 and KCD2.

Just got my $400 back from PayPal, and haven't even been charged for payment two (of four) on my purchases. Just an insane deal. No idea how they thought this was a good idea, but I'm sure happy to have gotten in on it :D

I'm enjoying Octopath Traveler 0 enough, but it's early and it hasn't completely clicked for me yet. I really liked having completely bottled stories and a mute protagonist is a big departure. Also, I know this is a largely a a port of a mobile game, but they should have polished up the character models. They're so much uglier than 1 or 2.

I was kinda meh on the demo. The bottled stories are fine from 1/2, but I didn't like how little companion interactivity there was. What's the experience been like with that so far?

The interconnectivity seems better and more natural so far. Apparently there's something like 30+ characters you can end up recruiting.

Weather being what it is this weekend I'm sure I'm gonna play the absolute hell out of it while football is on. I may end up just wanting to go back and playing the original games again.

Which ones did you order? I built my new PC and kept my old 1440p 144hz monitors.
