Clippers have no choice but to go for 10th and hope for the best. Otherwise OKC gets a very juicy lottery pick swap while the Clippers pick 30th

Zubac at least tries to help them win

the clippers this year owe the pick straight out to OKC, next year is the swap.

They are just killing time until the 2027 offseason where they plan a big FA run with full cap space. Haven't seen a big market team do that in a while.

Raps need a more consistent wing shooter/defender.

Herb Jones (possibly and Matkovic) for Ochai/Gradey/Battle and a future 2nd

Why for the pels? Three shooters for the price of one. Two can be re-signed at a minimal price. They should probably consider moving Zion and going full youth movement. Gradey (on a rookie scale) would look great for them, especially longer term.

Why for the raps? Cost controlled depth and defensive acumen that can either start or be the first off the bench. Consolidation trade.

Raps Roster:

PG IQ/Shead
SG RJ/Jakobe
SF BI/Jones
PF Scottie/CMB
C Jak/Mamu
I believe in Masai.

RJ, Scottie, and 2 first round picks top 4 protected for Giannis and Anthony.

Poeltl / CMB
Giannis / Mamu
Ingram / Walter
IQ / Dick
Shead / Anthony

Fair deal? I would say this turns us into a contender.

Not close to a contender with Walter and Dick in a rotation

I like that trade. I don't think Ochai or Battle have much value, so I'd replace one of them with Walter.
In Masai We Trust :meditate:

I wouldn't even consider the trade if Walter is involved.

Maybe I'm abnormally high on Walter, I see the potential.
I just wish he got more on ball reps.

Also, I'd still want to start him, and have RJ as the super 6th man.

I really don't think we need another wing (at least its not a priority). Back up big, then a back up vet floor general (on nights IQ loses the plot) will help a lot.
