Giannis went off on his teammates. I really do think he is a goner by Feb.

Whether teams like NYK is going to pull a package for him and trade him, we will see

Is Orlando a dark horse in pursuing Giannis? We have the young players plus assets. If Giannis like "Florida Cities", hey, can we make it work?

But again, if somehow Orlando wants to get in the conversation, it is going to cost a lot and can be a blockbuster.

Do we need him? Without Paolo we beat NYK twice plus DET. We are easily one of the fav in the East if Cleveland and NYK slide.

Again? Does his age fit our timeline with Paolo being 23 and Franz plus Jalen 24.

Plus what kind of package would it take? We part ways with Franz or Paolo? I do not want to do that certainly.

So it is what it is. I never doubt his talent. But could we be a dark horse if this FO is all in on winning championship in recent years?

It is going to cost a lot. But we certainly need to be motivated to do it to get him. And that is a huge committment. Just pure speculation

Detroit has the assets to get Giannis. Cade, Duren, and Giannis.

It’s slim pickings out there, I canvassed the league and contracts and these are some of the more realistic options I came up with:

1) Jonathan Isaac + Jett Howard for Jusuf Nurkic (expiring)

2) Jonathan Isaac for Robert Williams (expiring)

3) Tyus Jones + Jett Howard for Mike Conley (expiring)

4) Jonathan Isaac + Jett Howard for Harrison Barnes (expiring)

5) Jonathan Isaac for Kelly Olynk (expiring)

6) Jonathan Isaac + Tyus Jones for Maxi Kleber + Gabe Vincent (both expirings)

7) Jonathan Isaac + Tyus Jones for Collin Sexton (expiring)

8) Jonathan Isaac + Jett Howard for Zach Collins (expiring)

9) Jonathan Isaac + Jett Howard + Tyus Jones for Ayo Donsumo + Kevin Huerter (both expirings, both fit really well).

10) Tyus Jones for Ayo

*It seems as Chicago will be one of the better trading partners this season for Orlando with their expirings/trajectory/roster etc. There’s several different options with their roster that makes sense for both parties.


Of course there will likely be SRP’s involved either direction, but the more I look at our finances and the current players/contracts available the more I think Orlando stands pat this deadline.

I LOVE the effort...but don't like most of the deals I like 4, I love 7,9 & 10 but don't see them as possibilities

Holland/Thompson/Ivey are all under performing and not premium assets anymore. Thompson/Ivey are due for new contracts soon.

Bucks don’t need Stewart.

I really do not see it unless Giannis publicly says he wants to end up in Detroit which isn’t happening.

Their assets are more on the Lauri Markkanen level imo

I would even go as far and say Orlando has a better shot at Giannis than Detroit.

Giannis is one of the handful of players I would trade Paolo for, I understand timeline concerns but it would be worth it to get a championship or two in the next 4 years.

We don’t have much for draft assets but you’d be hard pressed to find better offers than an AB Paolo package.

Correct, due to the poison pill clause.

It will be shortsighted to trade Paolo this season (and some may argue that trading him anytime within his new contract frame is shortsighted) but the time to do such a trade would be this summer if you were truly considering it imo.

The Bucks are not going to get any better offer than a trade package centered around Paolo unless OKC has an underwhelming playoff run and Presti decides to really go for it.

It will hurt to move on from Paolo, but I will get it if it’s for a newly signed Giannis but he will be 31 THIS season so Orlando would really have to convince themselves that they can win a championship within the next two seasons which is really hard to believe.

Ultimately, it’s a risk that probably will do more bad than good after all said and done.

Directly, da Silva's minutes will take a hit. But indirectly, Black will play less forward and thus get more PG minutes. And that will thus eat into Jones' minutes.

Management will think Jett has earned time until ASW. If he can keep it up, they keep him longer. If not, they sould do this trade about the ASW. Be nice depth on the front line. Has had his moments. I like his play and think he is the better player. Highsmith does hit the 3 at a solid rate. Heck, I wouldn't mind if it done now.

New York, Minnesota and a couple of other teams need more size/defensive options.

disagree. he is playing 10 mpg. he is making more than $1mil/minute. and with multiple years, all he would bring back is a bad contract.

He has looked COOKED after being pretty solid last year. That being said OKC... Bring this man home and let him get a ring Unless you're scared of curses.

I don't think they would actually cut anyone to bring him in, but would be funny. Probably could only happen if Dieng is traded into someones cap space. Probably not something they would even consider, but I just want to see the Point God get a ring.
