For whatever reason, the NBA and US sports media just lives for having those kind of Lakers super teams. If the NBA had its way, you just know they would push for it.

Plenty of players put up stats, when there isn't anyone else to do so. I mean, someone has to, right?

I mean, an example on my own team is Mathurin. I don't think he's as good as the numbers he puts up. He wastes a ton of possessions on offense, loses focus on defense and very often is a net negative player. You can put up stats and still not be a positive influence on winning.

So for example tonight KPj is putting up empty stats when he’s shooting 80%? First game back after being out for several weeks and had to exit the game in the 4th because his body didn’t feel right (spasms)

Milwaukee is cooked either way. It’s going to take a decade to rebuild this team and the Giannis return is going to be incredibly underwhelming.

MIL is in a tight spot.

Not good enough to win, no assets to improve and owing picks.

Ideally they would do a 3 way deal to recoup dealt picks.

They don't control their pick for the rest of the decade. Those obligations are also split between two teams. It's bleak.

I agree that OKC should probably stay the course because what they are doing is working but I'm not sure if this comment "any over 30 player with a history of missing playoffs" is a sneak diss at Giannis.

Giannis is a top 3 player in the league who hasn't had the right team composition due to injuries mostly and would make any team outside of OKC instantly better.

Again what OKC has right now is special but that doesn't take away from Giannis' greatness.

It's not a sneak diss so much as there are guys who they might want to trade for but guys who are over 30 and who do have an injury history shouldn't be that high up. It's not really a diss to say that Giannis has had some injury issues. It's just the reality of him as a player. If a team trades for him you sort of have to cross your fingers that he will be ready for the playoffs.

New York is the best fit as currently they don't have a Euro Star. West is currently owned by Thunder, and Denver and Houston are strong contenders as well and SA is the future. So Giannis better stays in East.

Doesn’t matter where he wants to go, it’s what teams have the picks and players to trade for him. And that’s a short list of OKC, Spurs, and Rockets. Not sure what other team can realistically trade for him and keep their core together.

As an Utah fan I wouldn’t want to trade for him. And Utah is probably top 5ish of teams with good picks to trade. But Utah would have to trade Lauri and probably Ace or Keyonte to get him and be a terrible team and in the same situation as the Bucks are in right now. So it doesn’t even make sense.

So what other teams have salaries to match, at least one good young prospect to trade, and 4-5 FRP’s to trade AND can have a decent team after they make that trade? Not many teams come to mind.
