Is there any benefit to releasing CP3?

Nobody owes him anything (well, maybe the Clips).
OKC already had him once before and I think the relationship was good. I imagine they'd welcome him back to a bench role. I wouldn't say he's a cancer, that Clippers team is garbage, and it's not because of him. Put him in OKC where he can play more of a coaching and developmental role and where he'd be a heavy favorite to win a ring, and I think that would be a good situation for everyone.

Not having to be lectured one of the worst players currently in the league. Good morale booster.

Should have retired already on his own terms. Washed a while ago.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

You can usually get away with being a total dick, if you are a really good player. Not always, but most of the time. But, if you can't play anymore, you absolutely can not get away with being a total dick.

Point 1
"Lakers could use him, denver could use him, wolves could use him, X could use him"
Anyone posting this hasn't watched any clippers game. Or I'm suspect they don't watch basketball and are possibly AI bots. He's not the reason why the clippers are ****, but he's done, as an on court NBA player he's done
Point 2
Hes asked for this to ring chase
No, he signed to retire with the clippers. He's said as much as soon as he signed. Nobody had clippers in one of the top 20% of teams. They made themselves a little deeper but worse off this season and made moves to help clear future money and to retire a player who would be the first jersey retired by the team (not anymore)
Point 3
this is a mutual decision
"Just found out I'm being sent home" This does nothing for the clippers. This is a "CP3 Has pissed off a team who couldn't waive him as his salary would count towards the cap so they can't waive, but we're gonna be a classless organization and humiliate him because he was mean to us internally, and we need to get better because we need to get better and can't sink our books with dead money we can't move.
This is a low point for a team which this year was found to have illegally paid a player outside the salary cap. History often repeats itself and the clippers have found themselves to be a **** clown show once again.

It's actually insane how bad you have to be to kicked off a team as that kind of vet.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Getting him out of the lockerrom.
Dude is an all-time a**hole. I imagine there's a reason he got booted early.

This is an all-time situation of a dysfunctional and bad team basically firing a player known for being an a-hole and now no one knows who to blame. Doesn't have to be a good guy in every story.

Had drama on the clippers the 1st time around...makubesu wrote:Everyone is afraid to speak ill of the dead (or those with a dead career), but Paul famously grates on people. Don’t he have drama with Harden in Houston? Anyways I would love to mock the Clippers but this is probably a both sides issue.
Nba on prime guys tease blake about his dislike for cp3 to this day
