No idea if he'll request a trade, but not squashing all the talk (while also throwing teammates under the bus in the media) seems to be tanking the morale of the team.

Cavs can't swing, they're a 2nd apron team, not allowed to aggregate contracts and cannot take back 1 penny more than they send either.

Cavs have the highest payroll in the NBA this season.

They would have to make 2-3 individual moves, i.e. trading Strus into Brooklyn's cap space for example and not take any salary back before they can then turn around and trade for Giannis.

We know Silver is going to push for him to LAL, but if I'm Denver, I throw everything at the Bucks. Throw all the future FRPs they own at the Bucks.

Denver is who I also think should pursue Giannis. Same with Cleveland.

Giannis would bring so much relief to Jokic.

Who are Denver and Cleveland trading for him? (also Cleveland is second apron so they can’t make the trade)

Braun + AG + filler + 5x FRPs? Or even Jamal + 5x FRPs (if they want him).

Jokic and Giannis are both old, so those future firsts would be quite valuable. If Denver gets Giannis, they easily repeat/threepeat in the near future, but beyond that, they're going to be in the lottery for a long time.

Looks like Strus makes about $700k too much to fit in their cap space but the Jazz do have a TPE large enough to absorb him.

They'd still be about $6 million over so Wade would have to be dumped into the Nets cap space.

Then they could do a Mobley and Garland trade to the Bucks, for Giannis but again, with only being able to trade 2031 1st and a 2032 1st swap, idk if that is the winning package.

The Nuggets don't have a single FRP to trade let alone 5

This says they have their own 26, 28, 30, and 31 picks. Can they not trade those?

Stepien rule, can’t trade out of 1st round entirely in consecutive years.

Edit. Nevermind saw they owe picks in 27,29, 32. So the best they could trade is pick swaps.

Somehow I don't believe that. Why sign Turner and stretch Dame if Giannis wants out?

His weird rant about wanting all European's stars on big markets was certainly an... odd... thing to say.

I'd need more than this to believe it. Windy has been all kinds of wound to break the "Giannis has asked for a trade" news for like 8 months now. He's connected in the NBA inner circles, certainly, but his obsession with wanting Giannis to ask out of Milwaukee for that specific news cycle has been ... weird.

I think RIchard Miller is right, because the 2027 and 2029 picks could theoretically into turn into 2028 and 2030 oicks if they don't convey. So Denver doesn't know 100% if they'll have their picks in 28 and 30. My guess is they cannot trade a single pick right now.

Edit:
Oh, and I had a thinking error, because they can't trade 28 and 30 either way.

Here's a list of tradeable first and swaps. Denver could only offer two swaps: https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft/future_drafts/tradeable
