The Mike Brown factor. He has 2 more COTY awards than Spo. Plus he was fired by the Kings! Hard to compete with that.

What the hell do the Bucks do with KAT, Kuzma and Turner as a core with no picks? Thats perpetual bottom dweller scenario.

It doesn't make sense
Kncks would have to get draft capital to send over to the Bucks by trading some of their guys

My guess would be something like:
Tyler Herro - All-Star, hometown kid, extend
Kel'el Ware - high upside piece
Jaime Jaquez Jr - upside/key piece
Nikola Jovic - potential / long term contracted
Simone Fontecchio - expiring
Firsts and Swaps
for
Giannis
We would need to go on a signing spree to fill out the roster with capable vets at minimum contracts if the plan is to contend (which it has to be if you're going all in).
A starting 5 of:
Mitchell
Powell
Wiggins
Adebayo
Giannis
Is pretty nice though, in theory. You'd still have Larsson and Smith as key backups. Need to fill out wings and bigs with depth signings.
My thought has always been that Miami would have to include Bam in any trade for Adebayo. If Miami really thinks Ware is going to be so good, it'd be better to trade Adebayo for Giannis. It not only keeps Miami from having ~$120M/year in 2 players, but it keeps Miami from having to send out half its team. Also, the Bucks have a crazy number of guards, including both Rollins, Porter Jr, and AJ Green who are very good and young.
I'd offer:
Bam, Jovic, Jakucionis, Rozier, and 2 1sts and 2 swaps for Giannis, Portis, and Thanasis
Ware / Portis
Giannis / Fontecchio / Thanasis
Wiggins / Jaquez
Powell / Larsson
Herro / Mitchell / Smith
Turner/ J Sims
Adebayo/ Jovic
G Harris / Kuzma / Prince
Porter Jr / AJ Green / Trent Jr
Rollins / C Anthony / Jakucionis

But if he did, can you name a more physically imposing front line in NBA history? Basically three 7 foot+ wingspans that can all guard wing players as well.
I may cry if we got Giannis and kept Bam and Ware, and I am not a crier lol. It’s not so much about them playing together as it is having the best 3 man big rotation in the league by a mile. I think Giannis can play our style too. Keep Giannis and Bam’s minutes right around 29 to 30 and have Ware get the remaining minutes.
My goodness, I can’t even allow myself to dream it lol

Just get Giannis however you need to. It doesn't matter what it takes so long as you keep one of Herro or Bam, preferably Bam.

Any premise that MIL is roster building with primary concern for fit around Kevin Porter Jr (25 year old journeyman that already washed out of league once) and 26-year old AJ Green--who is basically the equivalent of a lesser Max Strus project for MIL--seems misplaced.

call me crazy but i would give up bam for giannis. the later can drop 30-40 on teams, the former rarely does soinhabitMiami wrote:Just get Giannis however you need to. It doesn't matter what it takes so long as you keep one of Herro or Bam, preferably Bam.

Absolutely. I'm just saying you give one of Bam/Herro + sfuff. If it takes giving up Bam then you do it. It's **** Giannis lol

I think the most I’d go is ware herro jovic and 1sts. Something like that
Yes it’s a lot to give up but this is an mvp player in his prime
Bam
Giannis
Wiggins
Powell
Mitchell
Jaime off the bench
That team can win it all

No, the Bucks would be building around Rollins at guard ($4M next year and a PO in 2 years). AJ Green and Porter Jr are good players on team-friendly deals (Porter Jr has a $5M player option next year and Green will start a 4-year, $45M deal next year). Turner and Adebayo would be one of the best defensive frontcourts in the league.
The only offers I can see being better than what I suggested would be OKC offering Chet, Dieng, and some combo of the Clippers' pick, the Utah pick, or some other mix of the gazillion picks they have OR Cleveland offering Mobley and picks.

Very hard to feel like anything has a chance for Miami until there's clarity on the Rozier situation

Rollins is promising and has a very complementary skillset to play along most other guards.
KPJ is not a reason a team decides to do anything. AJ Green is hoping to be a smaller Max Strus.
Love the matter of factness, but I think it's reach. Of course, offering more value will result in more surefire chance at acquisition.

SA can put either Castle or Harper and a trove of picks in the deal
And their "filler" players for salary matching are pretty good too

They're gonna have to work with each other.
San Antonio is one of those teams that even if he doesn't really want to go there he's gonna have to accept. The optics of refusing that team is bad, they're a winning org and if the Bucks are getting a good haul too he's gonna have to work with them.
Compared to say Atlanta who can give up a good haul too, Giannis definitely doesn't want to go there and nobody would fault him for not budging on it, they're a loser franchise.
