Rudy to the Bucks might work alongside Dilly and we take back some filler. What do people think of Ryan Rollins? Maybe something like Rudy and Dilly for Turner and Rollins?

He was my #1 "under the radar" target last offseason.

6'3 PG with a 6'10 wingspan. He's averaging 19 PPG on 48/41/77 shooting. 6 Assists, 4 Rebounds and he's been a significant positive on defense.

There is no way they're giving him up with the way he's breaking out. He's worth way more than Dilly - and he's definitely not filler.

I also don't think they'd want to pair Giannis with Rudy. Giannis needs a Center that has to be guarded outside of the paint (ie: Lopez, Turner...)

Giannis might be the one player who I would part with anyone not named Ant for.

Ant and giannis on the same team could beat any team in a 7 game series

Strongly disagree. Plenty of teams with high end talent lose in the playoffs (Doncic and Lebron,) (Jokic and Gordon was playing out of his mind,) (KAT, Bridges, and Brunson,) ect… 2 players no matter how talented cannot win it by themselves.

None of those players are both a top 5 player. It would be more like a Shaq and Kobe 2.0

You misunderstood, probably my fault so I will clarify. I was not talking assuming they keep Giannis, I don’t think that can happen. I am saying depending on the direction they go. We offer them the value of Rudy and Dilly for Turner and Rollins. It might cost us more, I don’t know, as I said it is not fully fleshed out. But, Rollins is breaking out, and he is young and cheap. If we could keep Donte and add Rollins I would happily toss them TSJ to sweeten the deal.

Rollins/Ant/Jaden/Randle/Turner
Mike (or replacement,)/DDV/Clark/Naz/Joan

We probably trade or replace Mike, but now I feel a lot better about our offense, and I think we don’t lose that much on defense.

Different league different game. Again a moot point as other teams could blow that offer out of the water.

I still don't see how we get Rollins. Dilly is a massive downgrade - in player and in contract.

Or why they'd want Rudy. If they trade Giannis, its probably for a package that starts a rebuild.

I guess if they trade him to NY in a "win now" trade where they get KAT and Bridges, then Rudy makes sense.

Or a multi team deal. Rollins is a secondary target. I do think Rudy has more value than Turner straight up. That being said, maybe we cannot get Rollins, but if the Bucks are truly rebuilding then selling high on him after less than half a breakout season (Dilly and TSJ plus the extra value of Rudy likely rerouted to a 3rd team,) isn’t bad. Again, I have not thought this all the way through. But Rollins seems like a good target if we could pry him away.

He's a phenomenal target. And he's just doing what he did last year on much higher volume. But the talent was obviously there. He shot 49/41/80 with good defense in 800 minutes over 56 games last year.

In 19 starts last year he gave them 10/3/3 with 49/45/86 shooting splits in 25 MPG.

He's a 23 year old 2-way player, with great size for a PG in the first year of a 3 year, 12M contract (4/4/4).

He's incredibly valuable.

Yes, but on a tanking team all of his cheap years will be wasted and then he will get real money. Meanwhile you are hoping to draft well and get young players who will also cost soon. The question is would they part with him if they tank, and if so for what?

A lot of chatter that NYK is the preferred destination for Giannis. Why does that matter? Because other East teams will be trying to keep up with them. I think about a team like Miami, which could value the grittiness of Julius Randle alongside Bam Adebayo. A lot of people believe Chicago could be primed to make a big move, even before the Giannis news came out. Maybe Detroit tries to fill some holes on its roster, such as 3-point shooting.

Milwaukee is not trading their 23 year old breakout prospect that they developed, ESPECIALLY in a scenario where they are tearing the team down.

Let’s assume this correct, Turner is still gonna be on the block, and moving Rudy for Turner still makes a lot of sense to me. A 3rd team would take Rudy and return his value to the Bucks. We would probably need to figure out the PG situation at or around the same time.

A 23 year-old budding star is exactly the guy you don't trade when you're rebuilding.

He's a cornerstone, not a trade chip.

If you're really that worried about "wasting" his cheap years, you trade him to a bad team for lightly (at best) protected draft picks, not Dilly and TSJ...

I like Turner, but if we replace Rudy with Myles, we're the worst rebounding team in the league.

With Jaylen Clark being the only guy on the squad that knows how to box out...

Again Dilly and TSJ would be available as trade value (you can send them wherever or keep them. Presumably they would want to load up on bad salary for assets. TSJ has some prospect value and Dilly has both prospect value and money attached. The point I was making is that Rollins will spend 3 years developing in the tank and making next to nothing and he will want money. But at that point he will be 26 and looking for serious cash. Maybe the Bucks say screw it and see how well he develops, or maybe they move on from him. The cornerstone was Gobert for Turner.

Turner can rebound and rim protect. Turner is younger, cheaper, on a good contract in terms of team control, and plays the speed we want to play. We could also have him play PF with Joan or another C we add later. Randle can slide to SF easily. I think that move would be a big win. But I do think Rudy has more value than Turner and we would need more in the wash.

I get that you think Turner is the cornerstone, but IMO, its Rollins. A 23 year-old that could be Ant's running mate for the next decade.

But my other point is TSJ and Dilly aren't near enough value to get you Rollins.

Not a sexy option but what about the idea of a deal based around DDV + filler(Miller + Ingles?) for Mitchell Robinson and Tyler Kolek?

Robinson is a stop gap expiring that solidifies the center rotation providing better defense than the Randle/Reid combo while being possibly the best rebounder in the league.

Kolek provides another natural point guard that sets the table and protects the ball while being more ready than Dilly at the moment and a better point guard than DDV. Doesn't solve the starting point guard issue but he is some I believe he could be a solid bench guard for years if given the opportunity when his jump shot comes around. Already one of the better passers I have seen in the league.

Rudy > Turner. Rudy + Dilly + TSJ is < Turner and Rollins. What do you need to add to that equation to balance it?

I would rather have DDV and some scrub C who will stay healthy.

I'm just fine with DDV and Le Berricade.
