The Turner signing was done specifically so they could package him with Giannis. He is the perfect compliment at C next to Giannis.

It will probably be a trade of front courts between both teams:
- Giannis, Turner & Kuzma to the Knicks
- Towns, OG & Robinson to the Bucks (and maybe Miles McBride?)

Turner's trade restriction is lifted Dec. 15th or 16th.

yeah I would bet on something like that happening

Risacher, that Pels pick, Dyson, Porzingis to make salaries work. I believe they also have another 3 first round picks they can offer. But like you said, doubtful they would be on his list.

I think that while the Bucks will try to accommodate Giannis there is a limit to how low a price they will accept. So he will end up in Miami instead.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Makes sense as it was likely promised to him. Guessing NY or MIAMI ...

I also think Miami will be his 2nd choice after NY. IIRC, Herro is from Milwaukee.

Probably, the list is probably 2 maybe 3 teams at most and potentially just one if Giannis is dead set on NY.

Saying we don’t have the assets for a Giannis trade is silly. Scottie would be the starting point and whatever you package with him is one of the best realistic packages in the league.

Scottie might be the best singular asset offered in any hypothetical Giannis deal, so we definitely "could" get it done. But, it's all irrelevant unless he chooses to come here which is extremely unlikely.

Keep in mind, the Bucks don't control their own draft picks, so no incentive to tank for the next few seasons. Does a package of Herro and Ware offer enough return, and short term success to warrant the deal?

At least with the Knicks front court, plus maybe McBride, the Bucks would be strong enough to compete for a play-in position.

Atlanta really should trade the New Orleans 2026 1st pick, Trae Young, Asa Newell, N'Faly Dante, 2027 1st pick (Atl) and 2029 1st pick (Atl if the New Orleans pick is not top 4) for Giannis and Thanasis

We don't know what they want. I don't buy into this narrative that they must stay competitive because of their draft pick situation. They are losing a generational talent and are never going to get equal value in return. They are screwed no matter what. They can't compete right now WITH Giannis, I don't imagine they will fare better with inferior players like KAT and OG, who will likely be miserable going to Milwaukee.

Having said all that, if he only wants NY, he will end up in NY.

Lots of moving parts to any deal, because I would think their first option is to get back control of at least some of their picks from any Giannis deal which means using assets they get back to do it. Trading Giannis to retool for a play-in makes little sense to me, you probably need to blow it up.

I think they will be like Brooklyn and prioritize getting back some of their picks in any Giannis trade.

So, KAT and OG probably would be getting re-routed anyways.

I'll predict Miami.. but who knows, Giannis is a different breed and could choose somewhere random. Sure he may want the Knicks, but I'm not sure they'll be willing to part with enough pieces. MIL might break their word and ship him somewhere else.

I agree they are screwed no matter what, but I don't think they want to be in the position the LAC or NOP are in now, where they not only suck, but are going to see their high draft pick go to another team. That is something that is remembered, and where FO's reputations are ruined.

KAT, OG & Robinson is still a good front court. In the East, they are a play-in team (8-10 seed), and maybe better if they can find someone for the backcourt. It is not about competing. It is about not being a lottery team, potentially giving up high lottery picks.

Giannis is probably looking for a legacy play. He’s a Knick.
