Tell teams if they want Giannis they have to take Kuzma.

Giannis instantly becomes untradeable.

I’ll believe it when we see the trade alert.

What sucks is if Horst could’ve hit one maybe one draft pick we wouldn’t be in this situation.

That would be my guess too. This is the start of the conversation which probably ends with him asking for a trade in a few weeks or in the offseason. I'd guess if its generally true that they had a conversation/meeting it was a general state of the union, what are we thinking type talk. Hopefully part of that was, how about we start with firing Doc? And that they have the stones to stand up a bit and say "yea record is bad but that's inflated by you missing like 8 games, and remember 2/3 playoffs were ruined by you being injured". So, if you and KPJ are healthy, we are like 4-5 games better and generally fine in the standing.

I'd probably add this convo goes both ways, Bucks feeling him out too and what he wants/thinks. Helps you decide on chasing one more trade to fix this year and dig the hole deeper, start planning on trading him, if he's ok to ride out this year and take our last swing in the offseason, etc. I know they run the team so its tough to do as it essentially ends all their jobs once they do it. But you also have known him for 10+ years now, he's given it is all. There's a point of hey if you want us to do it we can work together to figure this out for both sides

No we don't. He's an expiring after this year. Just keep him, then get him off the books or if you can trade him to a team that wants to dump a contract and give us picks or something.

Wow, finally caught up on the thread.

If Giannis is traded:
-Horst/Doc (Ham) first fire them and let the new GM and coach decide their own direction (wouldn't have personal attachment or nostalgia)
-Gut one of the following: OKC/ATL/SAS
-TA needs to go with him, they're a package deal (TA would be a hilarious tank commander though.)
-Release Alex from the Herd
-Trade Turner/Kuzma/Portis/Trent Jr. for as many draft picks or young players as possible
-Trade Prince, Anthony, Coffey, Harris for anything future-oriented.
-Keep KPJ/Rollins/Green
-Keep (to a much lesser extent) Jackson Jr, Sims, Nance, Sears (Someone's gotta play.)
-Fire Lisa (sorry, Lisa. I know your heart is in the right place.)
-Do not, and I repeat do NOT, trade Giannis to "wherever he wants to go". At this point, we don't owe him anything. The guy has pouted and quit on the team after the city, and more importantly the organization, gave him absolutely everything he asked for. It's not the Bucks fault he was injured in the playoffs twice in the last 4 years. It is to a lesser extent their fault that they allowed him so much influence in terrible coaching decisions, yet nobody can say the Bucks didn't do everything in their power to appease him.

Which brings me to, If Giannis is bluffing a trade:
-Do a lot of the same things listed above, lol.
-Roll the dice on that '31 1st.
-Possible scenario where Giannis is playing chicken with ownership over the coaching

Also, I 100% buy into the league doing everything they can to make his NBA life miserable both in-game and out. It's going to be sickening if we have to watch him suddenly get a Luka or Harden whistle in a new uniform while putting up 40-burger triple-doubles every night.

I will not be out on the Bucks if he's traded, however.
I re-started watching the NBA during the swag twins era.
After the last couple of weeks, I'm ready to get weird again.

The thing is, I've never bought into any of the trade-rumor hype. Watching the way he's played over the past year and a half, and more specifically the last couple of weeks, I now believe this is a more-than-likely scenario.

Still hope he's bluffing and ownership does something useful.

Bucks in 6!

Who can we sign when we stretch Giannis?

Hopefully just an ankle but it is absolutely insane people wanted to wait to the off-season to trade Giannis if he wasnt fully invested.

That’s the biggest F U to the fans if he faked his injury tonight. I don’t believe Giannis would do that, but that’s super ugly if he did. I’ve just never seen a guy collapse like that from walking.

I am done with Horst, all he does is find unwanted spare parts and give them player options when he runs out of picks to give away or coach hires to botch.
