Why are you comparing Giannis who is a top 3 player in the world to those guys?
Giannis good but he ain't top 3. Top 10...sure.
Point stands...Kyrie got traded for less. Harden didn't get you another huge star. These are the kinds of return you get. We aren't trading star for star. And yes Luka for AD and Max Christie doesn't happen with a competent GM in Dallas...it just doesn't happen.
I'm sorry to say this, but Giannis is going to fetch a package closer to what OKC got for PG than what teams got for a very old KD, and no where near as good players like Kyrie, Fox, Kat, etc. The only way they would trade Giannis to us, is if we include Scottie + Unprotected picks, so I think we are pretty much out of the running. Giannis has also extended recently with the Bucks, so the leverage is much stronger in this instance with the Bucks.
I don't see any team giving up that OKC haul for PG. And keep in mind, LAC were getting Kawhi signed for 4 years, plus PG for like 3-4 years signed. Was still a horrible deal. But Giannis is a FA after next season. He is also a top 4 player. He will be dictating where he goes.
Also, salaries need to be matched, so players with large salaries are going to end up in Milwaukee.
