Lue is a good coach IMO. He does his best work when the roster is a bunch of hungry, lunch pail types. Balmer's infatuation with trying to be the Lakers is what has held the franchise back.

As far as CP3 goes, lol. Kick rocks.

Theres people in that lockerroom he went to play second fiddle to in the middle of his prime and they had the pull to get chris off the team back when he wore his welcome out there too.

He didn't read the room at all. He thought it was 2013 and he was still that guy and he carried himself as such.

Harden said “he was shocked and confused” that they cut Paul

Kawhi said “all I know are my conversations with him and they were always positive”

It doesn’t sound like the “accomplished guys” had a problem.

You really think they'd say anything else publicly?

Actually makes sense. First I doubt CP was calling out Kawhi .

Harden being shocked and confused makes sense because even if guys were not liking his comments, they were not thinking the team was just going to part ways with him abruptly like that.

They weren't thinking there wouldn't be some sort of team meeting where they tell everyone what's going on as opposed to hearing it on socials.

They all know teams have had conflict before, guys don't just get sent home abruptly because of that, it's not normal. So yea, their comments and what happened can coexist.

Sad it was reported lue and cp3 weren’t on speaking terms. You have a veteran team of guys past their prime and you still have too big of an ego to play a specific role at 40 years old it’s pathetic and childish. It’s just like past his prime melo refusing to come off the bench.

Atlanta fan in this thread....
the tragic team that wasted 7 years on Trae shooting Steph Curry 3s with barely 30% 3pt is claiming CP3 was never great PG? Because he is 40 years old now? One of the best guards ever is better than the history of all teams like that. Father time has beaten even MJ, Wilt, Kareem and co. LeBron is playing an old roleplayer right now. Lets not rewrite a Superstar history because he got old. He helped Spurs last year playing 82 games at 39 with experience, leadership.

Clippers just suck like always with their GM who replaced Powell with J.Collins/Dunn/Sanders.
