Then AR will instantly regress to the player he always was because the directive to send him to the line 20 times a game will end.

Yup can see that happening and that team can beat the thunder. So long as he's out of east if he isn't on the Raptors.

I am not sure his game is going to age gracefully. He is also injured a lot, including missing games in 5 of the last 6 playoffs.

His game is all-athleticism, can't see him aging well at all...and the injury issue will only get worse. I think he's a win-now piece rather than a franchise building block at this point.

Luka and Giannis would easily threepeat, if healthy. I don't think that's good for the league.

If he goes to form a super team, I'd prefer it's an old team like GSW or Houston where Curry and KD are on their last legs. It makes a dynasty unlikely.

I think if Raps get Giannis

It will be RJ, Jakob, Dick, Mogbo and probably 4 firsts.

For like Giannis, Trent and Thannis

With Giannis at the 4 we could probably play Sandro at the 5.

Would then look to pick up an inexpensive C like Robert Williams or maybe even Brook if the Clippers need to fire sale.

Richard’s definitely the inexpensive option.

Can also consider signing Paul as a mentor and back-up for depth

If Knicks want Giannis and that's where he wants maybe the Raptors can get KAT. I think having a dominant inside scoring presence is something we lack. We have a pretty strong defensive identity, so if there is a way to potential acquiring KAT without giving up Ingram, IQ and Barnes I think it is worth exploring. The main benefit for us is not having the requirement to give up as many picks.

Could be something like

Knicks send

KAT, Robinson, Yabusele, McBride and 4 first round swaps and 3 second round picks

Knicks get

Giannis and Kuzma

Raptors send

Jakob, RJ, Ochai, Mogbo and 2 first round picks

Raptors get

KAT and Trent

IQ - Shead - Hepburn
Walter - Trent - Temple
Ingram - Dick - Battle
Barnes - CMB
KAT - Sandro -

I probably would want to find a way to Josh Hart, but I think will be tough with the pieces we have unless we decide to move IQ as well.

I think the Knicks give up OG in a Giannis deal, not KAT. Giannis needs a big that can give him space to operate inside. Either way, I think we should consider getting involved as a third team.

Don't think Bucks will value OG that high especially since they aren't competing. Also OG's contract is a bit outrageous, so I think the ask will likely be Hart, Towns and pick swaps. Which is why I can see Bucks wanting a third team. I think two first round picks isn't too dangerous for the Raps to surrender if it can land someone like towns. Towns I think fits Raps arguably better than Giannis. His ability to spread the floor and have an inside outside game I think is key. His rebounding is also very strong, which makes Jakob moveable.

Any team needs to offensive guns. Towns and Ingram make a great 1-2 punch. While Barnes, IQ and others complement the team well. This is where you then go to the Pelicans and find a way to acquire Herb Jones.

IQ
Ingram
Herb
Barnes
Towns

Solid offense and defense.

I think he ends up with the Heat.

The Knicks already do numbers/ratings for Silver. Putting Giannis in Miami to “revive” an old rivalry is too easy of a “plot” to sell/attract fans, plus there’s already a bit of subtle one with BOS and I’m sure Giannis won’t mind the break from winter lol

This, like the AD thread, is just another of those rumors we're always in where nothing ever happens. And honestly, we're lacking too many pieces for it to make a lot of sense for a title push anyway, given what it'd take to get him in the first place.

Bucks are just trying to apply more pressure on NYK, to get them to offer more, because it seems like NYC is where Giannis wants to be.

Still think it will be a full front court deal:
- Giannis, Turner & Kuzma to the Knicks
- Towns, OG & Mitchell and picks to the Bucks (maybe McBride gets thrown into the deal)

Yeah still think its Knicks or Heat... Bucks will not get value if restricted to one team...

Yeah. The wistle he got when the Raps played them.was astonishing......and not in a good way.

It was a prime example of everything that is wrong and corrupt in the NBA.

If that kid is playing for NOP, there is no way in hell he is able to do what he is doing. Fine player, but he isn't a superstar.

It's one thing you are Giannis or Lebron & you have the athleticism & size advantage.......you are naturally going to get fouled with your forward mementum. The foul calls this kid benefits from though? It's what makes NBA ball unwatchable. This guy doesn't have an athletic or size advantage on anyone.

The huge problem for the Bucks is that 3 of the teams that can offer the most (that Giannis might agree to) are doing so well this year and don't really need him. OKC, Spurs and Rockets. Likewise, the team he wants to go to (Knicks) are doing so well also and may have convinced themselves they have enough to make a run.

Of the teams that I think he would agree to go to, there is only one that both needs him and wants him....the Heat.

If I'm the Bucks though, I'm not looking to do a deal of Giannis for AR, because I don't trust that whistle will be maintained when he is on the Bucks. His FTA have almost doubled this season. Also, AR will be 28, by the end of the season. He is only a few years younger than Giannis.

I think the Knicks know they are not a super team, and with Giannis, they become one in the East, as long as they hold onto Brunson.

And of course, provided Giannis is healthy.

I agree the Knicks have no shot as currently constructed. Ultimately it's all up to the Brunsons, in conjunction with Leon Rose. Whatever the 3 of them decide is what will happen.

The trade restriction is off Turner's contract as of today.

Could be a 4 for 4 swap:
- Giannis, Turner, Kuzma & Anthony for Towns, OG, Robinson & McBride

Also saves NYK $6M, and a lot more in tax.
