In his defense (no pun!) he's often in the game in situations of sub-optimal offensive options, and may be the primary ballhandler and scorer.
Having said that, he needs to better. Especially out there with Scheierman for example. They should be building some rapport as bench mates. Baylor is not getting enough touches to initiate the offense and I'd rather see Simons off ball more when possible.
Yeah. We haven't been using Scheierman too much on-ball.
He can do it. Just needs more time doing it.
Yeah, he needs more time. He gets too fancy with the ball at times, or used to.
My guess is he's focusing more on the little things and especially defense, as Joe has given him a short leash at times. And I'm perfectly fine with Baylor working on his D as it sticks with the team's philosophy. It's actually starting to show. He takes less risks and playing straight up more.
